Book DoIToutside

    Book Details:
  • Author : Kristen Johnson
  • Publisher : Independently Published
  • Release : 2021-06-17
  • ISBN :
  • Pages : 84 pages

Download or read book DoIToutside written by Kristen Johnson and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2021-06-17 with total page 84 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Survival Survival, what does it mean to you? Really if we think about it there are many forms of surviving. For me I think I've been doing that my entire life. First was surviving an abusive biological father, whom we will never mention again in this book, then it was surviving my own asinine self-destructive behavior. Surviving trying to fix men through several failed relationships, finally acknowledging I don't even like men, realizing I was the one who needed fixing and then taking action to fix myself. Maybe this is where I found the passion for outdoor survival or maybe it was that 7th grade Outdoor Survival Class. Either way I am passionate about living loving and surviving in nature. This has been one of the biggest factors of my personal development and growth. I found a life of adventure; making me a stronger woman, who is at the point of being okay with surviving alone in life and nature, which is what this book is all about. Okay! I admit it I am never completely alone because I always have a few dogs with me at all times for the most part, and my partner who I met amongst the mist of writing this book but other than my crazy beautiful companions, comfortable surviving alone... Honestly, it was a little scary the first time I went out alone. I had endured an abusive relationship and my brain was SO weak. I was determined but it was hard. I loaded up my pack with gear, the dogs, a tub of food, dry clothes, water, firewood, and we were off. Facing this fear was an amazing feeling. I thought I will go out there and kill it. I am going to prove I can do this. Why? You may ask. Because I had been living in fear and hiding my fears for so long, I realized I HAD to go out there and challenge myself. I was never going to find my limits laying on the couch feeling bad for myself. This is where my realization and journey began, what about you? What is your survival? Maybe an adventure as monumental as taking a day drive where there is no cell phone service might be where you start. Or maybe it is just realizing you have the power to do so alone whenever you please, is what you're after. No matter your goals this book will outline what you may need and help you plan a little better, with of course some crazy adventure stories to relate to.
