Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. In seinem Hauptwerk "Cur Deus homo?"

It takes the form of a dialogue between Anselm and Boso, one of his students. Its core is a purely rational argument for the necessity of the Christian mystery of atonement, the belief that Jesus's crucifixion was necessary to atone for mankind's sin. This edition also contains a selection of his letters.

How are we restored by his death? Anselm tackles these tough questions in his thought provocative book Cur Deus Homo. Saint Anselm of Canterbury (1033 - 1109) was an Italian medieval philosopher and theologian, who held the office of Archbishop of Canterbury from 1093 to 1109. Called the founder of Scholasticism, he is famous as the inventor of the ontological argument for the existence of God and as the Archbishop who openly opposed the Crusades. (Wikipedia)
