As they begin a historical journey through seven portals of time, the clan has no idea of the challenges that lie ahead. As members of the Korka Clan obtain their warrior credentials through battles with the Mongols in 1237, their village is burned to the ground by the Mongol hordes. Over the next seven centuries, the Korka Clan must endure forced migration and slave labor while working communal agricultural lands. After they eventually resist, the clan becomes foundational pillars of kingship. Book Man Son of Man

Download or read book Man Son of Man written by Sri Madhava Ashish and published by Quest Books. This book was released on 2020-09-01 with total page 415 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a companion volume to, and a continuation of, Man, the Measure of All Things, by the same author (with the late Sri Krishna Prem), which dealt with The Stanzas of Dzyan relating to cosmogenesis as set forth in H. P. Blavatsky’s great work The Secret Doctrine. Man, Son of Man is a commentary of further Stanzas of Dzyan, outlining the processes of human evolution that have culminated in man as he is today. “What we believe about our origins determines what we believe about our destiny,” says the author, and he approaches his subject with the same depth of insight, the same sanity and balance, that characterized the previous work.

Book ANTHROPOGENY The Esoteric History of Man s Origin

Download or read book ANTHROPOGENY The Esoteric History of Man s Origin written by Dr. Douglas M. Baker and published by Baker eBooks Publishing. This book was released on 2014-04-15 with total page 226 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ANTHROPOGENY – The Esoteric History of Man’s Origin: This book and its contents devolve from four great questions :- Who are we? Where do we come from? Why are we here? Where do we go to from here? In this brilliantly written masterpiece, Dr. Baker has tried as far as possible to avoid a repetition of facts and figures given by The Secret Doctrine except where these are important in elucidating, confirming, contradicting or supporting some point of new detail. When H.P. Blavatsky wrote The Secret Doctrine, the great biological periods which we know so well today were not yet clearly defined in terms of age and extent. Also, by her own admission, many figures given by the Masters to her were inevitably altered in the process of being passed on to others for publication. Instead of loosely referring to time in terms of Rounds and Chains, Root Races and Sub-races, Dr. Baker has endeavoured by correlation, cross-checking and by final resort to questioning the Master Blavatsky directly, to give wherever possible time factors in terms of years, eras and periods. This has not been easy and may not always stand the closest of inspection, but it must be remembered that in eighty per cent of our investigations here, we are dealing with paralleling evolutions sometimes on three different planes at once. The march of science will steadily bring confirmation of broad outlines, correct minor errors, and add supplementary detail. No matter how abstruse, how surrounded with mystery the subject of Man's origin, we should remember the words of Paracelsus:- “Things that are considered now to be impossible will be accomplished; and that which is unexpected will in the future prove to be true, and that which is looked upon as superstition in one century will be the basis of the approved science of the next.” Many drawings, images, tables and references are included to make this fascinating subject more comprehensible to the student who is ready to seek the answers to the four great questions posed above.

Book The Origins of Self Consciousness in The Secret Doctrine

Download or read book The Origins of Self Consciousness in The Secret Doctrine written by H. P. Blavatsky and published by Theosophy Trust Books. This book was released on 2009 with total page 370 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Any attempt to explain the mysterious connections between consciousness and matter, and self-consciousness in particular, necessarily involves much complexity. Because all levels of relative reality are present here and now, the human being embodies the whole hierarchy of the cosmos: a microcosm of the macrocosm, to use an insightful Renaissance expression. Besides the physical human body, there is the dynamic structural plan of that body (called the 'astral body'), the desire nature, the life force that permeates all living creatures, consciousness involved in sense perception and practical operations, consciousness capable of universal thought and awareness, and pure consciousness manifest in pristine intuition. Above these six principles of human nature broods the luminous spirit called the Atman. Many people are seldom aware of anything more in themselves than the first five of these principles, although many also have intuitive glimpses of universal understanding, often as transcendent experiences which cannot be sustained. Because understanding cannot be separated from experience, and experience cannot be divorced from the way we live, think, feel and have our being, various spiritual traditions have offered practices to nurture these inner awakenings to our higher natures and to a greater awareness of spiritual reality. Theosophy connects together how we live our lives, what we think and how we focus our attention, the bold exploration of our inner natures, how we react to what comes to us (karma), and how we can build depth of awareness across lifetimes, with Enlightenment. Theosophy, therefore, connects ethics and action, including both physical action in the world and the action of our own thoughts. Where we are ignorant of all the dimensions of our circumstances-and, short of Enlightenment, we are all ignorant-motive for thought and action is fundamental for altering one's karmic trajectory and future incarnations. The selections from The Secret Doctrine in this book are gathered with a focus on the consciousness exhibited in Nature, its origin and destiny, and on human self-consciousness, in particular. This book therefore explores one vital current in the Ocean of Wisdom that is Theosophy. A thoughtful and persistent reading of these texts will radically transform one's understanding of the unity of self-consciousness and the world around us, and of one's place in the greater scheme of things.

Book The Secret Doctrine

Download or read book The Secret Doctrine written by H.P. Blavatsky and published by Penguin. This book was released on 2009-07-23 with total page 228 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Madame Blavatsky's Victorian-era masterpiece is now scaled down to its essentials, providing the most readable, accessible experience ever of one of history's seminal occult works. The Secret Doctrine, Helena Petrovna Blavatsky's masterwork on the origin and evolution of the universe and humanity itself, is arguably the most famous, and perhaps the most influential, occult book ever written. Published since 1888 only in expensive, two-volume editions of some 1,400 pages, it has long eluded the grasp of modern readers- until now. This single-volume edition, abridged and annotated by historian and Theosophical scholar Michael Gomes, places the ideas of The Secret Doctrine within reach of all who are curious. In particular, Gomes provides a critical sounding of the book's famous stanzas on the genesis of life and the cosmos- mysterious passages that Blavatsky said originated from a primeval source and which form the heart of The Secret Doctrine. Gomes scrupulously scales down the book's key writings on symbolism to their essentials, and offers notes and a glossary to illuminate arcane references. His historical and literary introduction casts new light on some of the book's sources and on the career of its brilliant and elusive author, one of the most intriguing personages of the nineteenth century. At once compact and representative of the work as a whole, this new edition of The Secret Doctrine brings unprecedented accessibility to the key esoteric classic of the modern era.
