Download or read book Make America Great Again For Who A Combination of Writings written by Blue Seven-Seven and published by Writers Republic LLC. This book was released on 2021-08-31 with total page 93 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When reading this book, Make America Great Again, For Who? You will allow the author to take you on a journey that will allow you to see and feel the growing pains of America. You will also note how the religious fundamentalist have taken measures to control this country since it has begun. You will also note how the religious fundamentalist attempts to control the action of others such as the LBGTQ+ citizens and those citizens who would like to gamble in order to achieve the American dream. The author makes note of those who have taken and are still taking away the peace, comfort, and freedom of others in order to satisfy their needs. The author also provides information in a way that will allow the people to search their souls and feel empathy for others. The author would like Americans to realize the people that were destroyed as this country was growing and being established. The author noted that many Americans, young and old will see and realize the pain and suffering others endured as the first settlers came and took advantage of the Native people, took their land at will and put them on reservations. Americans today must be made aware that the pride they feel, is over shadowed by the pain and suffering of others. The author also notes, although our country is very much divided by many things, some of which are false and some of which are misunderstood. The author says we still have a chance to be the best we can be as a country. So, he would like to challenge each and every American to apply some introspection and get to know who they are. This book also denotes honor to the Americans that have been and are being treated with a perpetual strong hold of injustice.

Book Trump and the Protestant Reaction to Make America Great Again

Download or read book Trump and the Protestant Reaction to Make America Great Again written by Matthew Rowley and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2020-11-01 with total page 96 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores how polarised interpretations of America’s past influence the present and vice versa. A focus on competing Protestant reactions to President Trump’s ‘Make America Great Again’ slogan evidences a fundamental divide over how America should remember historical racism, sexism and exploitation. Additionally, these Protestants disagree over how the past influences present injustice and equality. The 2020 killing of George Floyd forced these rival histories into the open. Rowley proposes that recovering a complex view of the past, confessing the bad and embracing the good, might help Americans have a shared memory that can bridge polarisation and work to secure justice and equality. An accessible and timely book, this is essential reading for those concerned with the vexed relationship of religion and politics in the United States, including students and scholars in the fields of Protestantism, history, political science, religious studies and sociology.

Our long national nightmare may be over, but that doesn't mean we can take a vacation to Dollywood just yet. We've got some work to do, folks. So how can we prevent that from happening again? Book The MAGA Doctrine

Download or read book The MAGA Doctrine written by Charlie Kirk and published by HarperCollins. This book was released on 2020-03-03 with total page 224 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER. The movement that brought Donald Trump to the White House has better ideas than the old right or the new left. It’s time that the rest of America started listening. The Tea Party began as a protest for patriots who feared Big Government. President Trump has become a hero for patriots who are against Big Everything. Fed up with Silicon Valley, the media, liberal higher education, the military-industrial complex, Twitter mobs, swamp monsters, Big Pharma, out-of-control prosecutors, and gun-grabbing fascists, ordinary Americans miss the days when America cared about rule of the people, by the people, and for the people. Remember when you didn’t feel bombarded on all sides by coastal billionaires and their government stooges? The MAGA Doctrine urges an overdue restoration of self-rule by a populace long taken for granted by its rulers. Turning Point USA founder and social media superstar Charlie Kirk explains once and for all why a New York real estate magnate found an audience among young conservatives all over the country. Trump and his allies are working to protect all the small things that both parties dismissed: local businesses, families, churches, and the rights of the individual. Kirk explains why it took a reality TV superstar to see past the sclerotic and power-hungry institutions, from the United Nations and Google to Harvard and Viacom, working to crush real America. The Trump Doctrine is all about giving you a say in the future of America and a hand in making it happen. As the mainstream media keep churning out lies about the “real reasons” behind the new conservative agenda, Charlie Kirk’s The MAGA Doctrine is a powerful reminder of the true narrative of freedom and greatness that swept Donald Trump to the presidency.

Trump lays out his professional and personal worldview in this classic work—a firsthand account of the rise of America’s foremost deal-maker. “I like thinking big. I always have. Trump Here is Trump in action—how he runs his organization and how he runs his life—as he meets the people he needs to meet, chats with family and friends, clashes with enemies, and challenges conventional thinking. Book The Upswing

Download or read book The Upswing written by Robert D. Putnam and published by Simon & Schuster. This book was released on 2020-10-13 with total page 480 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the author of Bowling Alone and Our Kids, a “sweeping yet remarkably accessible” (The Wall Street Journal) analysis that “offers superb, often counterintuitive insights” (The New York Times) to demonstrate how we have gone from an individualistic “I” society to a more communitarian “We” society and then back again, and how we can learn from that experience to become a stronger, more unified nation. Deep and accelerating inequality; unprecedented political polarization; vitriolic public discourse; a fraying social fabric; public and private narcissism—Americans today seem to agree on only one thing: This is the worst of times. But we’ve been here before. During the Gilded Age of the late 1800s, America was highly individualistic, starkly unequal, fiercely polarized, and deeply fragmented, just as it is today. However as the twentieth century opened, America became—slowly, unevenly, but steadily—more egalitarian, more cooperative, more generous; a society on the upswing, more focused on our responsibilities to one another and less focused on our narrower self-interest. Sometime during the 1960s, however, these trends reversed, leaving us in today’s disarray. In a sweeping overview of more than a century of history, drawing on his inimitable combination of statistical analysis and storytelling, Robert Putnam analyzes a remarkable confluence of trends that brought us from an “I” society to a “We” society and then back again. He draws inspiring lessons for our time from an earlier era, when a dedicated group of reformers righted the ship, putting us on a path to becoming a society once again based on community. Engaging, revelatory, and timely, this is Putnam’s most ambitious work yet, a fitting capstone to a brilliant career.

Book Crisis of the Two Constitutions

Download or read book Crisis of the Two Constitutions written by Charles R. Kesler and published by Encounter Books. This book was released on 2021-02-16 with total page 372 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: American politics grows embittered because it is increasingly torn between two rival constitutions, two opposed cultures, two contrary ways of life. American conservatives rally around the founders’ Constitution, as amended and as grounded in the natural and divine rights and duties of the Declaration of Independence. American liberals herald their “living Constitution,” a term that implies that the original is dead or superseded, and that the fundamental political imperative is constant change or transformation (as President Obama called it) toward a more and more perfect social democracy ruled by a Woke elite. Crisis of the Two Constitutions details how we got to and what is at stake in our increasingly divided America. It takes controversial stands on matters political and scholarly, describing the political genius of America’s founders and their efforts to shape future generations through a constitutional culture that included immigration, citizenship, and educational policies. Then it turns to the attempted progressive refounding of America, tracing its accelerating radicalism from the New Deal to the 1960s’ New Left to today’s unhappy campus nihilists. Finally, the volume appraises American conservatives’ efforts, so far unavailing despite many famous victories, to revive the founders’ Constitution and moral common sense. From Ronald Reagan to Donald Trump, what have conservatives learned and where should they go from here? Along the way, Charles R. Kesler argues with critics on the left and right, and refutes fashionable doctrines including relativism, multiculturalism, critical race theory, and radical traditionalism, providing in effect a one-volume guide to the increasingly influential Claremont school of conservative thought by one of its most engaged, and engaging, thinkers.

Book excerpt: "Many of the most incisive voices of our times are those of hip-hop artists. If you don't listen to their bodies of work but want to understand their sense of feeling betrayed by their own society, so richly invested in by their ancestors, you are depriving yourself. If you are not a hip-hop listener, I beg you to read my book. You may be able to finally feel how church, not just white, is drowning those who do listen. I propose repentance and actions that can reverse Christians' slide into oblivion, and how we can all arise and breathe again."--Author statement on Amazon.com.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Introduction Donald Trump once said he was troubled by President Obama's high standing among African Americans, suggesting he probably wouldn't get support from Black voters that he believes he deserves. "I have a great relationship with the Blacks. I've always had a great relationship with the Blacks," Trump said on Talk 1300 AM radio in Albany, N.Y. Trump was considering running for President in 2012. He was responding to host Fred Dicker's reference to a recent Quinnipiac Poll showing Obama enjoys strong support from African Americans in New York State. That survey showed 95% of Blacks in New York backing Obama. The Real Estate mogul said the numbers were "frightening." Maybe if Trump runs and win in 2016 he might be a blessing for the Black race. It's understanding why Obama is so popular among Blacks. He is the first person with Negro blood in him to become President. That is the number one reason he is so popular with African Americans. He can't make life better for them. Obama only showed them, no matter what your background you can become President of the United States. Life is a hard struggle for most people in the United States the same thing goes for Sports. Fortunate Blacks have the upper hand on other races because of their toughness and endurance it take to play Sports. However, when most Blacks succeed, they forget where they came from and don't look back and help the unfortunate ones except their mother. Because most never had a father there for them. Maybe Donald Trump, if he become President will motivate young Blacks to be productive, obey the Law, be honest and blame no one and achieve their full potential goal in life. Trump is about business and you must contribute to this Society if you want to be successful. The Jury is still out on Trump. I am willing to give him a chance. Our Country is on a downhill decline. Maybe Trump will make America great again. Therlee Gipson

Book Reign of Terror

Download or read book Reign of Terror written by Spencer Ackerman and published by Penguin. This book was released on 2021-08-10 with total page 449 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A New York Times Critics’ Top Book of 2021 "An impressive combination of diligence and verve, deploying Ackerman’s deep stores of knowledge as a national security journalist to full effect. The result is a narrative of the last 20 years that is upsetting, discerning and brilliantly argued." —The New York Times "One of the most illuminating books to come out of the Trump era." —New York Magazine An examination of the profound impact that the War on Terror had in pushing American politics and society in an authoritarian direction For an entire generation, at home and abroad, the United States has waged an endless conflict known as the War on Terror. In addition to multiple ground wars, the era pioneered drone strikes and industrial-scale digital surveillance; weakened the rule of law through indefinite detentions; sanctioned torture; and manipulated the truth about it all. These conflicts have yielded neither peace nor victory, but they have transformed America. What began as the persecution of Muslims and immigrants has become a normalized feature of American politics and national security, expanding the possibilities for applying similar or worse measures against other targets at home, as the summer of 2020 showed. A politically divided and economically destabilized country turned the War on Terror into a cultural—and then a tribal—struggle. It began on the ideological frontiers of the Republican Party before expanding to conquer the GOP, often with the acquiescence of the Democratic Party. Today’s nativist resurgence walked through a door opened by the 9/11 era. And that door remains open. Reign of Terror shows how these developments created an opportunity for American authoritarianism and gave rise to Donald Trump. It shows that Barack Obama squandered an opportunity to dismantle the War on Terror after killing Osama bin Laden. By the end of his tenure, the war had metastasized into a bitter, broader cultural struggle in search of a demagogue like Trump to lead it. Reign of Terror is a pathbreaking and definitive union of journalism and intellectual history with the power to transform how America understands its national security policies and their catastrophic impact on civic life.
