Book Atlantis and the Ten Plagues of Egypt

Download or read book Atlantis and the Ten Plagues of Egypt written by Graham Phillips and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2003-07-23 with total page 212 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Shows how a desecrated tomb in the Valley of the Kings holds the key to the true history of the destruction of Atlantis • Reveals that Tomb 55 in the Valley of the Kings was designed not to keep intruders out, but to trap something inside • Provides forensic evidence proving that the mask believed to be the face of Tutankhamun is actually that of his elder brother Smenkhkare In Atlantis and the Ten Plagues of Egypt, Graham Phillips explores the excavation of a mysterious and ritually desecrated tomb in the Valley of the Kings, Tomb 55, which he contends holds the key to the true history of the destruction of Atlantis. Unlike other Egyptian tombs designed to keep intruders out, Tomb 55 was constructed to keep something imprisoned within, specifically Smenkhkare, the older brother of Tutankhamun who was deemed responsible for the ten plagues in Egyptian history, to prevent such tragedies from ever happening again. The forensic findings from this tomb coupled with compelling new evidence from the polar ice caps provide sensational evidence that the parting of the Red Sea, the deaths of the first born, and the other plagues that afflicted Egypt were all actual historical events. Core samples from the polar ice caps indicate that a gigantic volcanic eruption took place in the eastern Mediterranean around the time of Amonhotep’s reign. Other research suggests this to have been the time of the eruption that destroyed the Greek island of Thera, one of the likely locations of Atlantis, and that the subsequent cataclysm may explain the unusual lack of resistance to the new religion installed by Amonhotep’s son, Akhenaten, when he took power several years later.

Book excerpt: This book on the Ten Plagues is written in such a way that it can be used to preach, to teach, or even as a personal devotional book making it a versatile study tool. It is a compilation of sermons prepared and preached by Ron Knapp, Jr. Serving as a bi-vocational, small church pastor, Ron understands the struggles of balancing a full-time job with the need of having sermon resources readily available. The book looks at the pre-plague encounter between Moses and Pharaoh, the ten plagues, and the establishment of the Passover. It contains the text of the sermons, sermon outlines, sermon illustrations with references, a bibliography, and illustrations of many of the gods and goddesses of Egypt. This study considers the full wrath of the LORD as displayed in the plagues but places an emphasis on looking at the plagues as revealing the mercy and long suffering of the LORD even in the midst of judgment.

Book excerpt: This absorbing book explores the possibility that the Atlantis story represents a distortion of a number of myths and legends already present in the ancient Greece and Egypt of the time. Putting more emphasis on Diodorus Siculus' account of the Atlantians, who places this people somewhere in Africa, is it possible that the island Plato spoke of was actually present in a lake not far from a large mountain? Piecing together the key details given in Diodorus, is it possible to identify these features in the Africa of today? In a fascinating piece of historical detective work, the author is able to reveal to the reader precisely how a legend was born.

Millington and published by Forgotten Books. This book was released on 2015-06-17 with total page 269 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from Signs: And Wonders, in the Land of Ham, a Description of the Ten Plagues of Egypt, With Ancient and Modern Parallels and Illustrations It has been said that "the use of language is to conceal the thoughts" The Egyptians represented their god of speech holding a seal-ring to his lips as if in approval of this doctrine. It may with equal truth be affirmed that the use of history is often to conceal facts ; and such appears to have been the object of those ancient chroniclers who wrote with a pen of iron upon the monuments of Egypt the supposed annals of their country. Numberless are the inscriptions, paintings, sculptures, and papyri, which have been discovered and interpreted by modern enterprise and scholarship; yet in none of these is any direct allusion, far less any descriptive account, to be found of the most wonderful series of events that ever came to pass in Egypt, - namely, the Ten Plagues which preceded the Exodus of Israel. The priest of Egypt were the guardians, and, to a certain extent, the manufactures, of its history. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Book excerpt: ===epub format=== . The Tempest Stele of Ahmose I contains a quotation from the biblical account of the plagues. This again demonstrates that the Israelite leaders were the Hyksos pharaohs of Lower Egypt, and so the biblical Jacob was probably the Hyksos pharaoh Jacoba. This earlier date for the exodus means that the biblical plagues were probably a real event, caused by the island of Thera (Santorini) exploding; and the fallout from this natural catastrophe caused a historically documented civil war and great exodus of the Hyksos-Israelite people from Egypt. However, if these links between Egyptian and Israelite history are true, then it is possible that Mt Sinai was actually the Israelite name for the Great Pyramid of Giza. The sacred mountain of the Jews was actually a pyramid. Sequel to "Jesus, Last of the Pharaohs". Followed by "Solomon, Pharaoh of Egypt", and "Eden in Egypt". L
