Book Wisdom and Knowledge of God As Told by a Grunt Speak Soldier

Download or read book Wisdom and Knowledge of God As Told by a Grunt Speak Soldier written by Publius Marcus and published by . This book was released on 2019-02-13 with total page 643 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Publius Marcus is soon to be 64 years old. And he started studying American politics since he was 13 years old when his non-blood brother was KIA in South Vietnam. The Author wishes me not to go into expounding details of his life but he will tell you that our Lord and our Saviour, Jesus Christ, instructed him, via that Still Small Voice, to write books in His name's sake, for his fellow Grunts of this world and especially for the American Grunt because we are all and have been in the same boat. If you don't know what a Grunt is, moors the pity. If you also don't know what a True Spook is, that is also moors the pity. More will be stated about this in the Introduction written by Publius Marcus, aka Snooper.Publius Marcus was saved by Grace when he was 6 years old at a Revival in which his Gospel singing Mother, a professional at it, was the guest soloist. For about a month she sang several times, The One Lost Sheep. Publius Marcus studied that parable spoken by Jesus Christ and one night the Holy Spirit spoke to him and he accepted Jesus Christ as his one and only Saviour. In the years since that time, Satan got a hold of his ass and screwed his life up because he didn't know how to tell that bastard to take a hike...he does now and expels that bastard at least 100 times a day. Why?Because in 2004 he was writing His books at his own paid-for web site now called snooperreport dot com (close to 26,000 articles/pictures), which has now morphed into actual books that Publius Marcus writes and self publishes (because he doesn't have the funds to publish them professionally). His books are like no other Christian book at all. Why?Because they are not politically correct nor multicultural nor are they filled with identity politics, the three malignant cancers of all societies. He has been a Grunt since he was 13 years old and didn't even know it. The Lord was training him since that time even when he had rejected Jesus Christ for some stupid reason or another - through all of that, Jesus was training up his Faith...and he didn't even know that either, until 2003.At times he has a foul-mouth but that's too bloody bad...his words, not mine. Jesus was a Grunt as well especially when He took a whip and beat the snot out of the morons screwing up His Temple. His books are written in Grunt Speak, naturally without the curse words in them and that is hard to do, trust me. His verbiage is written so that his fellow Grunts that are in our same boat will understand what Jesus has been saying in His Holy Words. When rockets, RPGs, IEDs, bullets and various other forms of death blows are heading in your direction, Grunts always come up with verbiage unfit for a woman to hear or witness. When the enemy is trying to kill you, there his no time to say, "Hey! Let us talk about this over a cup of coffee".Through his years of being a Spook, the Lord was training him as to what to say to his fellow Grunts whether they are active in the military, a Veteran or someone aspiring to become The Protectors of our Constitution, our Flag, our Country but first and foremost to learn about Jesus Christ. There are no atheists in any foxhole...you can trust me on that. His books are a testimony of his years as a Grunt. His books come from God's Verbiage, not some whining-assed ignorant preacher expressing its verbiage as the Words of God because they are not preaching/teaching God's Words - they aren't - they are preaching/teaching their own ignorant treatise of God's Words. His books will more than likely never be in a "Church" Christian bookstore because his books reflect that which Jesus Christ has commanded and not from what Mankind says "it" should be.Try a few of them and you will see what I mean. Several of you have purchased his books either in the actual book form or via EBook.Welcome to the world of a Christian Grunt. Thanks.

Book God Is a Grunt

    Book Details:
  • Author : Logan M Isaac
  • Publisher : Worthy Books
  • Release : 2022-04-19
  • ISBN : 1546000526
  • Pages : 239 pages

Download or read book God Is a Grunt written by Logan M Isaac and published by Worthy Books. This book was released on 2022-04-19 with total page 239 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This eye-opening book invites readers of all political and denominational stripes into a more meaningful conversation and community with soldiers and veterans. If Jesus is God, then God is a grunt—the humble, hardy folk placed at the bottom of the social hierarchy who are relied on to accomplish the dirtiest, most difficult (and most thankless) work. This is good news for millions of Christian soldiers and veterans in the U.S. because they have had to make an impossible choice, with no perceivable middle ground, between patriot and pacifist. In his new book, God Is a Grunt, Logan Isaac offers an opportunity for GIs, veterans, and those close to them to read Christian traditions as a soldier would—by and through the lived experiences of military service. This well-researched, meditative guide for Christians who have served their country delves deep into the Bible, while Isaac shares his own beliefs and thoughts on the life-altering experiences of battle. He attempts to fill the void most Christians in the military feel by providing theological resources to discern a better way of discipleship for GIs, affirming the nuance and complexity of armed service and the gifts GIs extend to Christians around the world.

Book When I Turned Nineteen

Book excerpt: It's the year 1969. I was serving in the U.S. Army with my brothers of First Platoon Company A 3/1 11th Bde Americal (23rd Infantry) Division. We were average American sons, fathers, husbands, or brothers who'd enlisted or been drafted from all over the United States and who'd all come from different backgrounds. We came together and formed a brotherhood that will last through time. I share my experiences about weeks of boredom and minutes to hours of terror and surviving the heat, carrying a 60-pound rucksack, monsoons, a forest fire, a typhoon, building a firebase, fear, death and fighting the enemy while mentally, physically, and morally exhausted.

Book Suffering and the Sovereignty of God

Download or read book Suffering and the Sovereignty of God written by John Piper and published by Crossway. This book was released on 2006-09-13 with total page 258 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the last few years, 9/11, a tsunami, Hurricane Katrina, and many other tragedies have shown us that the vision of God in today's churches in relation to evil and suffering is often frivolous. Against the overwhelming weight and seriousness of the Bible, many Christians are choosing to become more shallow, more entertainment-oriented, and therefore irrelevant in the face of massive suffering. In Suffering and the Sovereignty of God, contributors John Piper, Joni Eareckson Tada, Steve Saint, Carl Ellis, David Powlison, Dustin Shramek, and Mark Talbot explore the many categories of God's sovereignty as evidenced in his Word. They urge readers to look to Christ, even in suffering, to find the greatest confidence, deepest comfort, and sweetest fellowship they have ever known.

Book excerpt: New York Times bestseller How do you hold on to hope when you don’t get the ending you asked for? When Katie Davis Majors moved to Uganda, accidentally founded a booming organization, and later became the mother of thirteen girls through the miracle of adoption, she determined to weave her life together with the people she desired to serve. But joy often gave way to sorrow as she invested her heart fully in walking alongside people in the grip of poverty, addiction, desperation, and disease. After unexpected tragedy shook her family, for the first time Katie began to wonder, Is God really good? Does He really love us? When she turned to Him with her questions, God spoke truth to her heart and drew her even deeper into relationship with Him. Daring to Hope is an invitation to cling to the God of the impossible—the God who whispers His love to us in the quiet, in the mundane, when our prayers are not answered the way we want or the miracle doesn’t come. It’s about a mother discovering the extraordinary strength it takes to be ordinary. It’s about choosing faith no matter the circumstance and about encountering God’s goodness in the least expected places. Though your heartaches and dreams may take a different shape, you will find your own questions echoed in these pages. You’ll be reminded of the gifts of joy in the midst of sorrow. And you’ll hear God’s whisper: Hold on to hope. I will meet you here.

Book excerpt: Black Elk Speaks, the story of the Oglala Lakota visionary and healer Nicholas Black Elk (1863–1950) and his people during momentous twilight years of the nineteenth century, offers readers much more than a precious glimpse of a vanished time. Black Elk’s searing visions of the unity of humanity and Earth, conveyed by John G. Neihardt, have made this book a classic that crosses multiple genres. Whether appreciated as the poignant tale of a Lakota life, as a history of a Native nation, or as an enduring spiritual testament, Black Elk Speaks is unforgettable. Black Elk met the distinguished poet, writer, and critic John G. Neihardt in 1930 on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota and asked Neihardt to share his story with the world. Neihardt understood and conveyed Black Elk’s experiences in this powerful and inspirational message for all humankind. This complete edition features a new introduction by historian Philip J. Deloria and annotations of Black Elk’s story by renowned Lakota scholar Raymond J. DeMallie. Three essays by John G. Neihardt provide background on this landmark work along with pieces by Vine Deloria Jr., Raymond J. DeMallie, Alexis Petri, and Lori Utecht.
