Book Seven Biblical Principles to Live By

Download or read book Seven Biblical Principles to Live By written by Sakeanah Johnson and published by Covenant Books, Inc.. This book was released on 2021-11-18 with total page 41 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: All of these seven principles are important and practical for born-again believers. We must seek God daily for direction, wisdom, understanding, and revelation. Everything we have comes from the goodness of God. God is a giver, and we must be also. We must strive to emulate him and his nature. God’s word is true, and if we apply his word to our lives, we will have good success. Obeying is key. We must submit to the things of God and what he has already established. Seeking God and his righteousness we will not go wrong. We are a chosen people created for great exploits. We are to do mighty things for the Kingdom of God. Support the work of the ministry, be generous, and trust God, no matter what. Live a faithful life and pass it on to the next generation. Leave a legacy of faith and righteousness. I pray that if you are a new believer that you will take these simple and practical tools and apply them to your daily life as you grow in your walk with the Lord. For those of you who may have been in the body of Christ for some time, my prayer is that these seven biblical principles will enhance your walk with Christ. There are only seven principles listed here. As you are growing in the image of God, you will adopt more of his principles such as giving, honesty, and serving. You are already fully equipped with what you need to be victorious and successful as a Christ like individual. Develop your gifts. Seek his guidance daily, submit each day to him and all that you aspire to do. He will lead you by his spirit in the path that you should take. Include him. Remember, anything that he’s not in dies. Consult with him even in the seemingly small and insignificant things. He wants to be a part of it all. I pray that this helps and encourages your life. In Jesus’s name, Amen.

Book The Basic Principles of Godly Living

Download or read book The Basic Principles of Godly Living written by Lucius Joseph and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2015-01-16 with total page 168 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Almighty God the Creator of the heavens, the earth, the sea and springs of water, and in Whom we all live and move and have our existence, have ordained specific principles by which every aspect of life is governed, and principally by which man should live. These principles are eligible to all peoples, nations, tribes and languages, for it is stated that, "For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus." One very important consideration, is the fact that since the transgression of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, man separated himself from God, and God selected only a few men like the patriarchs and the prophets to communicate with them, and kept the communication line between Himself and man open. But with the rest of humanity it is said that; "In bygone generations He allowed all nations to walk in their own ways. Nevertheless He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness" (Acts 14:16-17). But in due time, He called the nation of Israel to be a special people unto Himself, and revealed to Moses His principles of Godly living, and so Moses said to the people; "For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; but because the Lord loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments; and He repays those who hate Him to their face, to destroy them. He will not be slack with him who hates Him; He will repay him to his face. Therefore you shall keep the commandment, the statutes, and the judgments which I command you today, to observe them" (Deuteronomy 7:6-11). The children of Israel were supposed to be an example to the other nations, so that they could imitate them as alluded to by Moses who said to them; "Surely I have taught you statutes and judgments, just as the Lord my God commanded me, that you should act according to them in the land which you go to possess. Therefore be careful to observe them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes, and say, 'Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.' "For what great nation is there that has God so near to it, as the Lord our God is to us, for whatever reason we may call upon Him? And what great nation is there that has such statutes and righteous judgments as are in all this law which I set before you this day? Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren." The living principles which the Lord gave to Moses for the children of Israel are perpetual, as Moses explained to the people saying; "For ask now concerning the days that are past, which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and ask from one end of heaven to the other, whether any great thing like this has happened, or anything like it has been heard.' "Did any people ever hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you have heard, and live?

Book excerpt: Principles of Peace: Finney's Lessons on Romans: Volume II The Biblical Companion to Finney's Systematic Theology The Letter to the Romans stands as Paul's most significant message on how to begin and maintain a loving relationship with God and others. The Holy Spirit often leads those seeking to understand the essentials of saving and sanctifying faith to read Romans. Beginning with Charles G. Finney's Principles of Righteousness, Volume I and continuing with his Principles of Peace, Volume II, this three volume set of Finney's Lessons on Romans presents an authoritative collection of Finney's teachings on how to live for Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. Finney's Lessons on Romans also provide a solid Biblical foundation for those who want to understand better Finney's Systematic Theology. In this new Finney's Principles Series set, the addition of Study Questions for individuals and groups by the editor and the Commentary on Romans by Henry Cowles, a fellow professor with Finney at Oberlin College, will help you apply and remember the principles contained in Finney's lectures and sermons on Romans. Charles G. Finney became the greatest American preacher and theologian of the Nineteenth-Century. He traveled widely as an evangelist and revivalist in America and abroad, served settled pastorates, taught as a professor of theology, promoted the abolition of slavery and equal rights, and helped found and served as President of Oberlin College in Ohio. Just as one cannot understand the Great Awakening without studying Jonathan Edwards, one cannot understand the great revivals and the theological and social reform movements in Nineteenth-Century America without studying Charles G. Finney. Because Finney's teachings remained true to the Bible and common sense, his message transformed thousands. Thirty years have passed since Bethany House Publishers released Charles G. Finney's Principles of Prayer in 1980, the first book in the Finney Principles Series. Principles of Prayer has remained continuously in print for all these years, but the other books in the series are now out of print. L.G. Parkhurst, Jr., who began the Finney Principles Series, continues the series, but adds helpful study questions and commentary, in Finney's Lessons on Romans, published by Agion Press. "For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit" - Romans 14:17
