Book excerpt: A powerful blueprint for healing by building a home within yourself “A master class in self-actualization and compassion.” —Mari Andrew, New York Times bestselling author of Am I There Yet? In her debut book of inspiration, poet Najwa Zebian shares her revolutionary concept of home—the place of safety where you can embrace your vulnerability and discover your self-worth. It’s the place where your soul feels like it belongs, where you are loved for who you are. Too many of us build our homes in other people in other people, hoping that they will deem us worthy of being welcomed inside and then we feel abandoned and empty when those people leave. Building your home inside yourself begins here. Zebian shares her personal story for the first time, from leaving Lebanon at sixteen, to coming of age as a young Muslim woman in Canada, to building a new identity for herself as she learned to speak her truth. After the profound alienations she experienced, she learned to establish a stable foundation inside herself, an identity independent of cultural expectations and the influence of others. The powerful metaphor of home provides a structure for personal transformation as she shows you how to construct the following rooms: Self-Love, Forgiveness, Compassion, Clarity, Surrender, and The Dream Garden. With practical tools and prompts for self-understanding, she shows you how to build each room in your house, which form a firm basis for your self-worth, sense of belonging, and happiness. Written with her trademark power, candor, and warmth, Welcome Home is an answer to the pain we all experience when we don't feel at peace with ourselves. Every human deserves their own home. Welcome Home provides the life-changing tools for building that inner space of healing and solace.

Book excerpt: From ancient Greece they came, remnants of the glorious Trojans. Led by Brutus, Kingman, holder of the bands of gold that wield the very magic of the Gods, these travelers are bowed but not broken, and they have come to Albion to begin anew. A vision of beauty called them to create a new Troy, and when they landed on the shores of the land that became Britain, they found an old magic that was fading. And so they began to construct a new Labyrinth, a place of magic that will bring unimaginable power to those who can control it. The temptress who brought Brutus to this land seeks to use him for her own purposes, but in that she fails, for it is the bride of Brutus who dooms the completion of the labyrinth . . . and sends all the players in this drama---handsome Brutus, his beautiful wife, Cornelia, and the sensuous and deadly Genvissa---into a hell of death and rebirth, until the Labyrinth is completed and the ancient magic is set free. A thousand years pass. Cathedrals rise in place of mud and wattle huts, hymns to saints replace odes to Celtic and Greek gods. But the magic from the dawn of time waits, and the players are not yet done with their destinies. They have new faces and new bodies, but old souls---and not all who have come back remember their parts in this drama. There are kings and princes, deadly court intrigues, and ancient powers awoken. And a warrior across the sea who only waits for his opportunity to finish what was started centuries before . . . Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a collection of my lifes experiences, events and occurrences that I have taken and put into poetic theory. These are private thoughts, feelings, and expressions of love, life and relationships as well as a few other things that I am passionate about. Nothing about this work of art is fictional or made up. I thought that maybe if I could share some of my experiences with the world, maybe someone can be helped, maybe I can ease someone elses pain, pass on the healing in word. My sincerest wish is that my Poetry touches the heart, soul and mind, that it inspires love and healing for someones heart and soul. That it teaches us that life is so very short and that love is the most precious gift that one can bestow on another. When you find love and its real, keep it, nurture it, be honest with it, treasure it and above all else place God first in it. Never let anyone interfere in what is only for you. People say that you cannot find your true love when you are a child, a teenager, because after all what could we possibly know about love at that age, but I am living, breathing proof that this is not true. I found my true love at 18 years of age, he knows who he is (Moe).Thank you so much for showing me what real love feels like, what it should be. I am so sorry that I was not mature enough, was too nave to handle it. You will always, always be the love of my life. And you will always be missed. These poems are reflections of experiences that I have had with individuals that have come into my life, whether for a moment, a season, or just to teach me a life lesson, you all have inspired me in some way, shape or form, but you shall remain nameless, if you ever get the chance to read this work, you would be able to tell who you are, and how you have helped me whether it was in a positive or negative fashion. You have all helped me to grow in some way, and I strongly believe that what does not kill you makes you stronger. Thank you all.

Book excerpt: Jake sat with the other eligible braves as was customary for the New Beginnings Dance. Jake felt comfortable knowing that no young maiden would dance for him. They all knew that he was already taken with the beautiful Becky. When the dance began and several maidens danced for their brave there was an air of happiness around the fire. Jake was lost in the festivities when he suddenly was brought back to reality as Becky danced her way in front of him. Jake drew in and held his breath. He could barely believe what he was seeing. Becky stood in front of Jake twirling and swirling seductively for Jake alone. She was beautiful, dressed in the palest of doeskin. Fringe hung from her thighs to the calves of her legs and from her arms at the elbow. On her wrist she wore beautiful wristbands that Jake imagined Becky had fashioned just for the show. She was bare foot and with a similar band around her left ankle. Her hair was braided in the style of the Choctaw with beads threaded throughout. Jake’s blood began to pound fiercely in his veins. He thought that he had never seen Becky looking more beautiful than she did at that moment. Jake felt as if he would explode with sheer joy. He also wondered if Becky really knew what she was doing, if she knew completely what the dance implied. Jake’s eyes never wavered from Becky throughout the dance. When the dance was complete, Becky held out her tiny hand toward Jake, as was the custom. The bargain was sealed if Jake reached out and took her hand.

Shattered, he closed off his heart to love and vowed to never forgive her. Josephine left him because an unexpected pregnancy was not a part of their plan. Lorenzo had made it clear he never wanted to have children, and she did not want to burden him with the child she vowed to keep. She left the only man she had ever loved. Years later, Lorenzo is contacted by Zoie, a cute and spunky twelve-year-old girl claiming he is her father. He is stunned to discover that her mother is none other than Josephine! What once was love is now war as he fights for joint custody, angered by Josephine never telling him she was pregnant with his child. Zoie instantly captures his heart…and against his better judgment, Josephine captures his eye. As Lorenzo and Josephine learn to co-exist and co-parent, Zoie asks for one rule: her parents do not reconcile because she fears a breakup will lead to her losing the father she always yearns to know. There’s only one problem. When they agreed to the rule, they were at war, and now that they have found peace, the passion they shared in the past has been sparked with even greater intensity, making them both tempted to break their one rule…
