Book MOSFET Modeling for Circuit Analysis and Design

Download or read book MOSFET Modeling for Circuit Analysis and Design written by Carlos Galup-Montoro and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2007 with total page 445 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the first book dedicated to the next generation of MOSFET models. Addressed to circuit designers with an in-depth treatment that appeals to device specialists, the book presents a fresh view of compact modeling, having completely abandoned the regional modeling approach. Both an overview of the basic physics theory required to build compact MOSFET models and a unified treatment of inversion-charge and surface-potential models are provided. The needs of digital, analog and RF designers as regards the availability of simple equations for circuit designs are taken into account. Compact expressions for hand analysis or for automatic synthesis, valid in all operating regions, are presented throughout the book. All the main expressions for computer simulation used in the new generation compact models are derived.Since designers in advanced technologies are increasingly concerned with fluctuations, the modeling of fluctuations is strongly emphasized. A unified approach for both space (matching) and time (noise) fluctuations is introduced.

Book Electronic Circuit Analysis and Design

Download or read book Electronic Circuit Analysis and Design written by Donald A. Neamen and published by McGraw-Hill Science, Engineering & Mathematics. This book was released on 1996 with total page 1166 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This introduction to the concepts of microelectronic circuits and devices covers important semiconductor devices and their applications; analog electronics, including operational amplifiers and integrated circuits; and digital circuits. PSPICE is incorporated throughout the text in examples, and a separate appendix contains a PSPICE introduction and examples for DC, AC and transient analysis. The text's coverage of field effect transistors and basic FET amplifiers reflects the industry popularity of enhancement mode MOSFET devices. However, a balance between bipolar and FET circuit analysis is found in each chapter.

Book Principles of Transistor Circuits

Download or read book Principles of Transistor Circuits written by S W Amos and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2013-10-22 with total page 401 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For over thirty years, Stan Amos has provided students and practitioners with a text they could rely on to keep them at the forefront of transistor circuit design. This seminal work has now been presented in a clear new format and completely updated to include the latest equipment such as laser diodes, Trapatt diodes, optocouplers and GaAs transistors, and the most recent line output stages and switch-mode power supplies.Although integrated circuits have widespread application, the role of discrete transistors is undiminished, both as important building blocks which students must understand and as practical solutions to design problems, especially where appreciable power output or high voltage is required. New circuit techniques covered for the first time in this edition include current-dumping amplifiers, bridge output stages, dielectric resonator oscillators, crowbar protection circuits, thyristor field timebases, low-noise blocks and SHF amplifiers in satellite receivers, video clamps, picture enhancement circuits, motor drive circuits in video recorders and camcorders, and UHF modulators. The plan of the book remains the same: semiconductor physics is introduced, followed by details of the design of transistors, amplifiers, receivers, oscillators and generators. Appendices provide information on transistor manufacture and parameters, and a new appendix on transistor letter symbols has been included.

Book Compact Transistor Modelling for Circuit Design

Download or read book Compact Transistor Modelling for Circuit Design written by Henk C. de Graaff and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 367 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: During the first decade following the invention of the transistor, progress in semiconductor device technology advanced rapidly due to an effective synergy of technological discoveries and physical understanding. Through physical reasoning, a feeling for the right assumption and the correct interpretation of experimental findings, a small group of pioneers conceived the major analytic design equations, which are currently to be found in numerous textbooks. Naturally with the growth of specific applications, the description of some characteristic properties became more complicated. For instance, in inte grated circuits this was due in part to the use of a wider bias range, the addition of inherent parasitic elements and the occurrence of multi dimensional effects in smaller devices. Since powerful computing aids became available at the same time, complicated situations in complex configurations could be analyzed by useful numerical techniques. Despite the resulting progress in device optimization, the above approach fails to provide a required compact set of device design and process control rules and a compact circuit model for the analysis of large-scale electronic designs. This book therefore takes up the original thread to some extent. Taking into account new physical effects and introducing useful but correct simplifying assumptions, the previous concepts of analytic device models have been extended to describe the characteristics of modern integrated circuit devices. This has been made possible by making extensive use of exact numerical results to gain insight into complicated situations of transistor operation.

Book Essential Knowledge for Transistor Level LSI Circuit Design

Download or read book Essential Knowledge for Transistor Level LSI Circuit Design written by Toru Nakura and published by Springer. This book was released on 2016-05-09 with total page 220 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a collection of the miscellaneous knowledge essential for transistor-level LSI circuit design, summarized as the issues that need to be considered in each design step. To design an LSI that actually functions and to be able to properly measure it, an extremely large amount of diverse, detailed knowledge is necessary. Even though one may read a textbook about an op-amp, for example, the op-amp circuit design may not actually be possible to complete in one’s CAD tools. The first half of this text explains important design issues such as the operating principles of CAD tools, including schematic entry, SPICE simulation, layout and verification, and RC extraction. Then, mistake-prone topics for many circuit design beginners, resulting from their lack of consideration of these subjects, are explained including IO buffers, noise, and problems due to the progress of miniaturization. Following these topics, basic but very specialized issues for LSI circuit measurement are explained including measurement devices and measurement techniques. Readers will have the simulated experience of the whole flow from top to bottom of circuit design and measurement. The book will be useful for newcomers to a lab or to new graduates who are assigned to a circuit design group but have little experience in circuit design. This published work is also ideal for those who have some experience in circuit design, to confirm and complement the knowledge that they already possess.

Book Analysis and Design of Analog Integrated Circuits

Download or read book Analysis and Design of Analog Integrated Circuits written by Paul R. Gray and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2024-02-21 with total page 981 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ANALYSIS AND DESIGN OF ANALOG INTEGRATED CIRCUITS Authoritative and comprehensive textbook on the fundamentals of analog integrated circuits, with learning aids included throughout Written in an accessible style to ensure complex content can be appreciated by both students and professionals, this Sixth Edition of Analysis and Design of Analog Integrated Circuits is a highly comprehensive textbook on analog design, offering in-depth coverage of the fundamentals of circuits in a single volume. In addition to the well-established concepts, this Sixth Edition introduces a new super-source follower circuit and its large-signal behavior, frequency response, stability, and noise properties. New material also introduces replica biasing, describes and analyzes two op amps with replica biasing, and provides coverage of weighted zero-value time constants as a method to estimate the location of dominant zeros, pole-zero doublets (including their effect on settling time and three examples of circuits that create doublets), the effect of feedback on pole-zero doublets, and MOS transistor noise performance (including a thorough treatment on thermally induced gate noise). Providing complete coverage of the subject, Analysis and Design of Analog Integrated Circuits serves as a valuable reference for readers from many different types of backgrounds, including senior undergraduates and first-year graduate students in electrical and computer engineering, along with analog integrated-circuit designers.
