Book Evolution physico chimique de particules de m sophase au cours de traitement thermique

Download or read book Evolution physico chimique de particules de m sophase au cours de traitement thermique written by Isabelle Heitz-Raymond and published by . This book was released on 1993 with total page 360 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Spray Drying Handbook

Download or read book Spray Drying Handbook written by Keith Masters and published by . This book was released on 1985 with total page 718 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "This edition reflects the changes which have occurred in spray drying technology and plant design since the publication of the fourth edition. The author argues that spray drying will remain the most important dehydration technique available to convert pumpable fluid feedstocks into powders. Topics covered include the drying principles, a survey of auxiliary equipment and the applications of spray drying in industry. There is a new chpater on spray drying in environmental control and there is a list of spray drying patents issued within the last five years. This edition also contains more data and tables that cover operation and design information for a wide range of products."--Provided by the publisher.

Book Geostatistical Simulations

Download or read book Geostatistical Simulations written by M. Armstrong and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 1994-03-31 with total page 274 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When this two-day meeting was proposed, it was certainly not conceived as a celebration, much less as a party. However, on reflection, this might have been a wholly appropriate gesture because geostatistical simulation came of age this year: it is now 21 years since it was first proposed and implemented in the form of the turning bands method. The impetus for the original development was the mining industry, principally the problems encountered in mine planning and design based on smoothed estimates which did not reflect the degree of variability and detail present in the real, mined values. The sustained period of development over recent years has been driven by hydrocarbon applications. In addition to the original turning bands method there are now at least six other established methods of geostatistical simulation. Having reached adulthood, it is entirely appropriate that geostatistical simulation should now be subjected to an intense period of reflection and assessment. That we have now entered this period was evident in many of the papers and much of the discussion at the Fontainebleau meeting. Many questions were clearly articulated for the first time and, although many ofthem were not unambiguously answered, their presentation at the meeting and publication in this book will generate confirmatory studies and further research.

Download or read book Geostatistics Tr ia 92 written by A.O. Soares and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 1097 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The contributions in this book were presented at the Fourth International Geostatistics Congress held in Tróia, Portugal, in September 1992. They provide a comprehensive account of the current state of the art of geostatistics, including recent theoretical developments and new applications. In particular, readers will find descriptions and applications of the more recent methods of stochastic simulation together with data integration techniques applied to the modelling of hydrocabon reservoirs. In other fields there are stationary and non-stationary geostatistical applications to geology, climatology, pollution control, soil science, hydrology and human sciences. The papers also provide an insight into new trends in geostatistics particularly the increasing interaction with many other scientific disciplines. This book is a significant reference work for practitioners of geostatistics both in academia and industry.

Book Mathematical Morphology

Download or read book Mathematical Morphology written by Laurent Najman and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2013-01-24 with total page 407 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Mathematical Morphology allows for the analysis and processing of geometrical structures using techniques based on the fields of set theory, lattice theory, topology, and random functions. It is the basis of morphological image processing, and finds applications in fields including digital image processing (DSP), as well as areas for graphs, surface meshes, solids, and other spatial structures. This book presents an up-to-date treatment of mathematical morphology, based on the three pillars that made it an important field of theoretical work and practical application: a solid theoretical foundation, a large body of applications and an efficient implementation. The book is divided into five parts and includes 20 chapters. The five parts are structured as follows: Part I sets out the fundamental aspects of the discipline, starting with a general introduction, followed by two more theory-focused chapters, one addressing its mathematical structure and including an updated formalism, which is the result of several decades of work. Part II extends this formalism to some non-deterministic aspects of the theory, in particular detailing links with other disciplines such as stereology, geostatistics and fuzzy logic. Part III addresses the theory of morphological filtering and segmentation, featuring modern connected approaches, from both theoretical and practical aspects. Part IV features practical aspects of mathematical morphology, in particular how to deal with color and multivariate data, links to discrete geometry and topology, and some algorithmic aspects; without which applications would be impossible. Part V showcases all the previously noted fields of work through a sample of interesting, representative and varied applications.
