Download or read book Three Nails Numbers of the Bible written by Dennis Benson Jones and published by . This book was released on 2020-07-26 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Book, Three Nails the Numbers of the Bible, tells the complete story of Jesus Christ, the Trinitarian God, the number of the beast, Satan's down fall, Christ resurrection and ultimately our salvation. By way of explanation, a single nail, is the sixth letter of the Hebrew alphabet, vav. The meaning of the symbol is peg or nail. Pegs were used to hold the Old Testament temple tent in place. The Hebrew symbol is ˥ vav), which carries the double meaning of the number 6, speaking to the meaning of the number 666, the number of the beast in Revelation. The back cover depicts "the day of the Lord" and the dead Apocalyptic world of the end times. Ironically the number 111 (three ones) looks a lot like Hebrew ˥˥˥ (vav vav vav), which in binary is the representation of the number seven. The three ones may be interpreted as the trinity of individuals, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Satan used three nails to crucify Christ and thought his death would bring him victory only to have his temporary triumph turned into defeat by the resurrection of Jesus: thus sealing Satan's fate and our salvation. Since mathematics is the discovery of what was true before all ages. The observations made in these pages were true in the time of Genesis, in the lifetime of Christ on earth, in the first century when the New Testament was written and now.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Life for Susan Van Volkenburgh was good. She was often told that God had placed a golden star upon her life. Then tragedy struck. On September 11, 2001 at 9:37 a.m., American Airlines Flight 77 plummeted into the Pentagon, taking the lives of 184 innocent people. One of them was Susans father, Stanley R. Hall. At that moment, everything changed for Susan. Everything she knew, everything she ever believed in, came crashing down. Her life began to unravel. How could she face God in light of all that had happened? How could she ever trust Him again? Wasnt God supposed to protect His own? Nothing made sense anymore. This ten-year journey through the desert, through a land where God was silent, was a time of trial and of spiritual awakening. Could faith endure in the face of so great a loss, so large a betrayal? Transcending the events of September 11, this spiritual odyssey moves through the mire of grief and loss, to question the very motives and promises of God. As Susan asks the tough questions, can the silent resolve of her own father speak to her from beyond the veil? Is there a place for faith when God has let you down?

Book excerpt: “Fiddler, father, widower, cowboy and lover, Du Pré has the soul of a poet, the eyes of a wise man, and the heart of a comic” (The New York Times Book Review). Gabriel Du Pré’s precocious granddaughter, Pallas, has returned from her Washington, DC, boarding school, and trouble seems to have come along for the ride. Du Pré’s girlfriend’s son, Chappie, is also back from serving in Iraq, minus one leg and one eye. As the family tries to help him adjust to civilian life, the town is invaded by a fire-and-brimstone fundamentalist sect, whose preacher is hell-bent on imposing his own beliefs on the easygoing people of Toussaint, where even the most pious prefer to keep God to themselves. Du Pré is content to ignore the evangelists, until a mountain hike turns up the body of a little girl. Although he has no hard evidence, instinct tells him that the fundamentalists may be to blame. Du Pré hunts the countryside for the young girl’s killer, wishing as always that the outside world would leave his beloved Montana alone. In this “admirable, highly original” series, “Du Pré, a Métis Indian, ignores the speed limit, smokes hand-rolled cigarettes and drinks whisky like it was water. He also plays fiddle like an angel, takes care of his friends and defends the weak with equal passion” (Publishers Weekly). Nails is the 13th book in The Montana Mysteries Featuring Gabriel Du Pré series, but you may enjoy reading the series in any order.

Download or read book Tilopa s Mahamudra Upadesha written by Sangyes Nyenpa Rinpoche and published by Shambhala Publications. This book was released on 2014-04-15 with total page 263 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: All lineages of Mahamudra meditation have their source in a verse teaching—a "song of realization"—sung by the Mahasiddha Tilopa to his disciple Naropa on the banks of the Ganges River more than a thousand years ago. Since that time, the meaning of Tilopa’s instructions has been passed directly from master to disciple in a continuous stream that exists unbroken to this day. This book offers the reader a rare glimpse into the Mahamudra oral transmission, given in a traditional Tibetan context by one of the lineage’s most learned and accomplished contemporary masters. Mahamudra meditation, while highly advanced, is yet simple, practical, and accessible for anyone, because what is identified and meditated upon is the very nature of one’s own mind. In Sangyes Nyenpa Rinpoche’s words, "The distinction between deception and liberation lies in whether we understand the ever-present nature of our own mind or not. Knowing our own face is liberation; not knowing our own face is samsara. This is not something far distant from us." The instructions are ideal for Westerners because the root text is manageable and Rinpoche has provided an outline of his own composition that makes it easily understandable. He explains terminology with frequent comparisons between Dzogchen and Mahamudra, quotes prolifically from scripture, gives clear examples, and generally cajoles, admonishes, and encourages his listeners to be true to their own spiritual path.
