Book excerpt: "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also." John 14:3 ESV Jesus Christ was very clear: One day He will return-and none of us knows when. Vocal fanatics claim to know the details of the Second Coming, causing many Christians to all but ignore the good news that Jesus is coming again. Yet God's own Word commands us to know the signs of the times, to remain watchful, and to be ready-whenever Christ comes. This book is a straightforward, in-depth exploration of the key biblical texts regarding the Second Coming; most notably, Christ's longest and most important eschatological message, the Olivet Discourse. As you study what the Word of God says about these matters, it will stir in your heart an earnest longing for Christ's return-as well as a certainty about how to live expectantly until He comes again.

Book Nothing Merciful Than Reincarnation

Download or read book Nothing Merciful Than Reincarnation written by Kevin R Williams and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2019-05-25 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Part 1 is an introduction to reincarnation in Christian history including the biblical evidence of John the Baptist as the reincarnation of Elijah the Prophet. The religious concept of the "Resurrection of the Dead" - a massive worldwide reanimation of corpses at the end of time - is a foreign concept originating from ancient Persia - not Judaism or Christianity. Part 2 describes more biblical reincarnating prophets and other holy people; also Jesus' teachings on bodily and spiritual rebirth. Jesus taught Nicodemus that, "You must be born again," which has a literal meaning of bodily "rebirth" (reincarnation), but is also used metaphorically to mean spiritual "rebirth" (regeneration) by the Holy Spirit. Part 3 proves it is God's will that everyone is saved which can only realistically occur through reincarnation. Part 3 also describes how God's law of divine justice (also known universally as "karma") is the same as the law of reincarnation. Universal salvation, like preexistence and reincarnation, was widely believed by Christians and Jews during the first 500 years of Christianity and was championed by the early Church Father Origen. Part 4 describes the biblical case of how God's demand for human perfection and holiness can only realistically occur through reincarnation. Part 4 also describes how God's salvation and judgment "according to works" also can only realistically occur through reincarnation. The belief in the soul "resting in peace" until a final corpse resurrection at the end times makes any personal identity of the soul, salvation, and personal spiritual growth after death impossible. Part 5 describes the biblical doctrines of the preexistence of the soul and the Christian "mystery" of God within human beings as important principles involving Christian reincarnation. The nature of an eternal, immortal, and indestructible human soul/spirit shows that all human beings partake in the divine spirit as Jesus did. Jesus taught, "the Kingdom of God is within you" (Luke 17:20-21) which implies divinity within humanity. An immortal human soul/spirit makes reincarnation a necessity. The Bible describes a "Trinity" (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), three parts of Christ (the Mind of Christ, the Body of Christ, and the Spirit of Christ), and three dimensions of God (light, life, and love) which the three-dimensional enlightened Christian shares (mind, body, and spirit). Part 6 describes more reincarnating biblical personalities including fallen angels as reincarnating human beings. Fallen angels reincarnating as human beings, including Satan and the "fallen" human soul, are described in the Bible, the Book of Enoch, the Book of Jubilees, and the New Testament Apocrypha. Part 7 describes the biblical case for the past lives of Jesus Christ as King David, Melchizedek, Joseph, and Adam. Part 7 includes a final summary of this the book and a final conclusion by the author. Both David and Jesus share titles such as: the anointed one (Messiah), the Holy One, only begotten son, firstborn, Root of Jesse, priest of Melchizedek, and most exalted king of the Earth. The Bible clearly states that David himself will be reincarnated in the Last Days (Hosea 3:4-5; Ezekiel 34:13-24; Ezekiel 37:22-24; Jeremiah 30:1-9). In Acts 15:12-19, the apostle Peter equated rebuilding "David's fallen tent" with the resurrection of Jesus' body. In the Bible, "tent" is a metaphor for the human body (2 Corinthians 5:1; 2 Peter 1:12-13). Part 8 provides references, resources, and links related to reincarnation and Christian reincarnation in particular. Internet links to websites provided include reincarnation main websites and researchers references.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book teaches you how to become a Certified Past life Regression Facilitator. Where your interest is for fun, self improvement, a new career or practice, you will find the information contained in this book fascinating and life changing. Who were you in your past life? What personality traits did you bring forward into this lifetime? Christians will especially find this book fascinating, as it allows them to follow Jesus and his belief in reincarnation. Did you know? Reincarnation was part of the early Christian belief system for almost 300 years, until the Church removed reincarnation from the Bible, then eliminated anyone who didn't follow this strict, revised doctrine, as set forth by the Church. Interesting note, some Biblical scholars believe that Jesus is the reincarnate of Buddha, who was the reincarnate of Kristina. Backed up with indisputable historical assumptions. A must read for anyone who strives for the truth about Christianity's original teachings.

Book The Lost Teachings of Jesus Book 1

Download or read book The Lost Teachings of Jesus Book 1 written by Mark L. Prophet and published by SCB Distributors. This book was released on 2020-01-01 with total page 207 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Unmistakable evidence that many of Jesus’ teachings were altered, deleted or never recorded In their classic series “The Lost Teachings of Jesus,” Mark L. Prophet and Elizabeth Clare Prophet prove that many of Jesus’ original teachings are missing. They show that the New Testament records only a fragment of what Jesus taught. That what was written down was tampered with by numerous editors or suppressed by “guardians of the faith.” And that some of what was recorded has been misinterpreted to this day. The authors fill in the gaps with a bold reconstruction of the essence of Jesus’ message. They unfold the lost teachings Jesus gave in public to the multitudes and in secret to his closest disciples. In modern vernacular, they offer a unique blend of the mystical and the practical that goes beyond the orthodox view of Jesus to discover his original message. And they answer questions that have puzzled readers of the Bible for centuries.

Book Jesus The Incarnation of the Word

Download or read book Jesus The Incarnation of the Word written by David Mitchell and published by Campbell Publishers. This book was released on 2023-07-24 with total page 289 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Great Unspoken in Jewish-Christian dialogue is Jesus’s conception. It’s a topic avoided even by many who accept his resurrection. This book tackles the issue. Did Jesus exist before Bethlehem? Who was mysterious Melchizedek? What does Psalm 110 really say? How far do the variant genealogies of Matthew and Luke really make sense? Was Mary a peasant or a princess? And what are the options for Jesus’s paternity? Just how Jewish was he really? Just as the author’s Messiah ben Joseph examined the ancient origins of the sacrificial Messiah promised to Joseph, so Jesus: The Incarnation of the Word looks at the origins of the Zadokite Messiah. BACK COVER REVIEWS David Mitchell’s Jesus: The Incarnation of the Word is a fascinating read. While its title seemingly rehearses well-trodden paths that need no further attention, that presumption could not be more misguided. The author is deeply conversant in the Hebrew Bible, Septuagint, Second Temple Jewish literature, Rabbinic writings, and early Christian and Patristic texts. All are brought into service to offer intriguing solutions to various difficulties arising from the Davidic (and priestly!) genealogies of Joseph and Mary and the relationship of Jesus to Melchizedek and the Angel of the Lord. Readers will find this a rewarding study. Michael S. Heiser, PhD (Hebrew Studies, Wisconsin) Bestselling author of The Unseen Realm Executive Director and Professor, Awakening School of Theology Jesus: The Incarnation of the Word brings readers on an eye-opening journey through Old and New Testament texts, genealogies, and extra-biblical sources ancient and modern to probe the core question distinguishing Christianity from other faiths: is Jesus God in the flesh? With meticulous attention to detail, David C. Mitchell applies his exegetical acumen and extensive expertise in second temple and Rabbinic literature to uncover the remarkable breadth of the Bible’s testimony about the Messiah and its long history of discussion. Erudite, witty, and eminently readable, this volume will enlighten, challenge, and inspire as it reveals how deep and wide are the Bible’s messianic promises fulfilled in Jesus of Nazareth. Dr Adam D. Hensley, Australian Lutheran College, University of Divinity Author of Covenant Relationships and the Editing of the Hebrew Psalter

Book Reincarnation for Christians

Download or read book Reincarnation for Christians written by John W. Sweeley and published by Blue Dolphin Publishing. This book was released on 2013 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why Christians Should Believe in Reincarnation Reincarnation was an accepted belief by the great minds of antiquity. In Greece Plato was influenced by earlier classical Greek philosophers such as Pythagoras (6th cent BCE), while Reincarnation was both believed and taught by Jesus and many Church Fathers through the 8th century, as well as in Hebrew texts and mystical traditions throughout the middle ages. In Reincarnation for Christians, Monsignor Sweeley proves that reincarnation was accepted by Jesus according to Holy Scripture, was accepted and taught by the Church Fathers as a doctrine of the faith, and is believed today by many Christians. Moreover, he makes clear why there is no conflict between the atonement of Jesus and Jesus as the redeemer of humanity, with the necessity of living many lives before we attain salvation. "In this timely book about reincarnation and the Christian tradition, Monsignor Sweeley gives us an eye-opening look into an issue that has been long ignored by mainstream Christian churches." -Most Rev. Alan R. Kemp, D.Min., CEO, The Ascension Alliance "Msgr. Jack Sweeley has amassed an enormous collection of information about the belief called reincarnation. He includes evidence in support of reincarnation from the Christian Scriptures as well as from the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Nag Hammadi Library. He cites and quotes notables from all walks of life and periods of history who have shared a belief in reincarnation." -Bishop Bernie O. Finch, D.C., EMD, DD "As a believer in reincarnation, I was amazed at the information that literally packs the pages of Monsignor Sweeley's book. As you will find, reincarnation is not just 'New Age' but has been a major belief in one form or another for thousands of years. -Katy O. Ishee, author of Pieces of My Heart and Gemini's Galaxy "Msg. Sweeley's brilliantly researched and comprehensive treatment of the Judeo-Christian roots of Reincarnation will change your entire perspective on the subject." -K. Michael Murphy, M.A., DDS "In these powerfully transformative times, many in the Western world are accepting this doctrine, and others are eager to know more about the Christian church's position on this subject. -Sri Swami Shankarananda Giri, Divine Life Church, Baltimore, MD

This book was released on 2016-02-05 with total page 86 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A growing number of people are open to the subject of past lives, and the belief in rebirth-reincarnation, metemphsychosis, or transmigration-is becoming commonplace. But it often thought that belief in reincarnation and Christianity are incompatible. But is this really true? May a Christian believe in reincarnation? The answer may surprise you.Reincarnation-also known as the transmigration of souls-is not just some exotic idea of non-Christian mysticism. Nor is it an exclusively Hindu-Buddhist teaching. In orthodox Jewish and early Christian writings, as well as the Holy Scriptures, we find reincarnation as a fully developed belief, although today it is commonly ignored. But from the beginning it has been an integral part of Orthodox Judaism, and therefore as Orthodox Jews, Jesus and his Apostles would have believed in rebirth. This historical study of reincarnation in both Judaism and Christianity cites many authorities of both traditions, including many Christian saints and Fathers of the Church, as well as both Old and New Testaments. In our opinion the testimony of orthodox Judaism, ancient Christianity, and the Bible is sufficient to answer the question: May a Christian believe in reincarnation?Included in this second edition is Annie Besant's article on various scientific, moral, and historical aspects of reincarnation from a Christian perspective.
