The European Parliament adopted a resolution recognized Russia as a "state sponsor of terrorism," and accusing its forces of carrying out atrocities in its invasion of Ukraine. The EU parliament said it "recognizes Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism and as a state which uses means of terrorism." At the United Nations Putin is more isolated every day. The UN General Assembly voted to reject his annexation of Ukrainian territory by a margin of 143 to five, with 35 abstentions. That's an even greater margin than previous UN resolutions condemning Russia's actions, also overwhelmingly approved. The daily images of bombed out schools, hospitals, playgrounds and apartment buildings, and the determined, so-far-largely-successful pushback by Ukraine, makes it imperative that Russia and Ukraine engage in Peace Talks. Hence it is imperative that Diplomacy and Dialogue is restored between Russia and Ukraine - so that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) can be restored in the International Community. On that note, we would like to encourage all people on Earth to join us in Meditation and Prayer to manifest Peace on Earth. In the IPA, the top priority will be Peace and Nuclear Disarmament, where all countries in the world will be instrumental to manifest the UDHR and the UNCRC in the International Community.

It appears that it takes some time for a fascist system to establish itself (Lyttelton, 2004). Therefore, it is essential to recognise the early warning signs of fascism to avoid its emergence in full bloom.Clerical fascism is a specific type of fascism. It is a nationalistic political system rejecting liberal democracy considered hostile to the 'Christian tradition', social changes, including women's rights and sexual liberalism, and a notion of 'restoring' Western culture (Pollard, 2007, p. 434).This publication argues why it is justifiable to consider the Poland of Andrzej Duda and Law and Justice as a multi-party clerical fascist state, where many parties exist, creating an impression of pluralism, but the ruling parties are ideologically identical in practical terms. Establishing what the system is and how it works will help to address the source of the problems and the outcomes it produces, e.g. through internal awareness of the situation and pressure from the international community.It also attempts to present a brief case study of a modern fascist state and how it operates. It explores various aspects of the state, particularly the troika of crucial actors: the far-right propagandists, the powerholders, and the Roman Catholic Church. While religious fundamentalism and authoritarianism is important, money also plays an important part in the regime, including lucrative contracts and prestigious jobs.The timescale examined in this publication is the recent past, from 2015 until the date of publication. The language is simplified for the purpose of accessibility. Sources are of highest possible quality.The publication also calls for more research on modern fascism. It also serves as a warning to democracies to keep and create safeguards protecting people and institutions from abuse of power.

Book excerpt: From 1998 to 2005, six elections took place in postcommunist Europe that had the surprising outcome of empowering the opposition and defeating authoritarian incumbents or their designated successors. Valerie J. Bunce and Sharon L. Wolchik compare these unexpected electoral breakthroughs. They draw three conclusions. First, the opposition was victorious because of the hard and creative work of a transnational network composed of local opposition and civil society groups, members of the international democracy assistance community and graduates of successful electoral challenges to authoritarian rule in other countries. Second, the remarkable run of these upset elections reflected the ability of this network to diffuse an ensemble of innovative electoral strategies across state boundaries. Finally, elections can serve as a powerful mechanism for democratic change. This is especially the case when civil society is strong, the transfer of political power is through constitutional means, and opposition leaders win with small mandates.

As a result of the 2010 elections, the governing majority gained two-thirds of the seats in parliament, which made constitutional revision exceptionally easy, bypassing extensive political and social deliberations. In April 2011, on the first anniversary of the 2010 election, a brand new constitution was promulgated, named the Fundamental Law. This collection is the most comprehensive account of the Fundamental Law and its underlying principles. The objective is to analyze this constitutional transition from the perspectives of comparative constitutional law, legal theory and political philosophy. The authors outline and analyze how the current constitutional changes are altering the basic structure of the Hungarian State.
