Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: THE HIDDEN MASTER is the story of an inquiry into the nature of total transformation of the human psyche, sometimes called enlightenment, as revealed by a realized Teacher, Vimala Thakar. It is also a story about the interaction of two forces-the force of understanding (the Teacher) and the force of inquiry (the seeker after truth). In attempting to live and practice the teaching of Vimalaji, the inquirer, Christine Townend, decided to record and analuyse the inner and outer events of the investigation which she undertook. She was interested to observe how a realized Teacher lived, worked and taught. It was felt that it was important, not only to describe the difficulties of Sadhana through which the seeker passes, but also to describe the qualities of a realized human being, without glamour or sentimentality. It was Vimalaji who encouraged and guided the writing of the book, and who gave so much of her time and her love in the form of interviews and discussions for this purpose.

Book Secret Teachings of the Hidden Masters

Download or read book Secret Teachings of the Hidden Masters written by S. E. Kenneth Cosentino and published by . This book was released on 2018-08-20 with total page 280 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Secret Teachings of the Hidden Masters is a collection of mystical knowledge and spiritual wisdom found at the core of mankind. The Teachings themselves are timeless and transgress virtually every culture on Earth. Contained within these pages is an ancient codex of Sacred Knowledge passed down through oral tradition over the ages. Author S.E. Kenneth Cosentino crafted this work of literature painstakingly over the course of ten years. During this time he studied among seers, prophets, sages, shaman, mystics, monks and medicine people. In February of 2012, he was read his Last Rites while laying on his death bed. While he was shaping this book, the Teachings were shaping him. From the introduction by S. Quanaah:"Secret Teachings of the Hidden Masters reveals some of the common threads of humanity by highlighting the stream of consciousness that has made enlightenment possible throughout the planet earth. To the studious, this is a jewel. To the curious, this is a door to another reality. To the religious, this is the language your leaders have historically forbid you to learn. To the occultist, this is the practical magic veiled in ritual. To the skeptic, this is a fun house mirror."

Download or read book Hidden in the Shadow of the Master written by Ruth Butler and published by Yale University Press. This book was released on 2008-10-01 with total page 372 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Paul Czanne, Claude Monet, and Auguste Rodin. The names of these brilliant nineteenth-century artists are known throughout the world. But what is remembered of their wives? What were these unknown women like? What roles did they play in the lives and the art of their famous husbands? In this remarkable book of discovery, art historian Ruth Butler coaxes three shadowy women out of obscurity and introduces them for the first time as individuals. Through unprecedented research, Butler has been able to create portraits of Hortense Fiquet, Camille Doncieux, and Rose Beuretthe models, and later the wives, respectively, of Czanne, Monet, and Rodin, three of the most famous French artists of their generation. The book tells the stories of three ordinary women who faced issues of a dramatically changing society as well as the challenges of life with a striving genius. Butler illuminates the ways in which these model-wives figured in their husbands achievements and provides new analyses of familiar works of art. Filled with captivating detail, the book recovers the lives of Hortense, Camille, and Rose, and recognizes with new insight how their unique relationships enriched the quality of their husbands artistic endeavors."

Book Poverty Reduction Through Non Timber Forest Products

Download or read book Poverty Reduction Through Non Timber Forest Products written by Deepa Pullanikkatil and published by Springer. This book was released on 2018-11-23 with total page 160 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book narrates personal stories of people from around the world who have used natural products, in particular Non Timber Forest Products (NTFPs) as a means to come out of poverty. Ending poverty remains a major worldwide challenge and is the number one goal under the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The book fills an important knowledge gap; that of personal stories of NTFP users. This has not been part of past publications on NTFPs which tend to focus on statistics and analysis of numbers, thus, the human faces of NTFP users are missing. Narrative stories provide a wealth of data about people and their experiences rather than aggregated classifications, categories and characteristics of poverty. The objective of this book is to illustrate the poverty alleviation potential of NTFPs through documenting the personal life stories of individuals and households that lifted themselves out of poverty through trade of NTFPs. This book is for all who are interested in poverty alleviation and NTFPs.

Drawing on the Jewish mystical traditions of Kabbalah and Hasidism, path-breaking Jewish scholar Arthur Green argues that a neomystical perspective can help us to reframe these realities, so they may yet be viewed as dwelling places of the sacred. In doing so, he rethinks such concepts as God, the origins and meaning of existence, human nature, and revelation to construct a new Judaism for the twenty-first century.
