Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Three hearts beat as one, for one. Always. "Everything inside him ached for Claira in a way that was completely unfair to the memory of his wife." Grey McLendon Claira Robbins technically didn't exist until two weeks before she began teaching at Grassland Academy. Her new identity may have given her the credentials she needed for the job, but it hasn't helped one whit to soothe her frayed nerves caused by years on the run. It also didn't come with instructions on how to handle three ravenous cowboy brothers intent on seducing her. Six years after losing their wife, the McLendon brothers are focused on running their family ranch, Falcon Ridge, and raising their rambunctious twin boys. They've never believed they could find another woman with which to share their hearts and family. When Matt and his twin, Mason, meet their sons' classy new teacher, hope and love aren't the only things that spring back to life. Matt is convinced she was Heaven sent to heal their family. Mason hopes he's right, but knows they have a bigger problem than convincing Claira to take a chance on their unconventional family; a much bigger, surly, older brother kind of problem. After their wife died, Grey McLendon planned to live the rest of his life comfortably numb from the neck down, even if it killed him...and it just might if he can't reconcile his guilt and desire for Claira before her treacherous past catches up with her. Book Goodnight John Boy

Download or read book Goodnight John Boy written by Earl Hamner and published by Cumberland House Publishing. This book was released on 2002 with total page 244 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For eight wonderful years The Waltons, the story of a family living in the foothills of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains during the Depression, entertained America and the world. Yet this television show was more than entertaining. Each episode combined wonderful stories and "teachable moments" in which adults and children alike learned the importance of honesty, hard work, respect, responsibility, self-sacrifice, and kindness. As is true in most families, the Waltons faced many challenges, occasionally stumbled along the way, but they struggled to live their lives within the framework of the values they believed and taught. Goodnight, John-Boy is a memory book of The Waltons, the number-one television show of its time. Filled with behind-the-scenes anecdotes and profiles of people who appeared on the show, it introduces readers to the Hamner family members who later became characters on The Waltons, suggests events and locales that inspired many of the episodes, and traces Earl Hamner's life as a writer from Virginia to New York to Hollywood. Included is a description of each episode plus reminiscence, comments, and personal feelings from numerous people connected with the series-writers, actors, directors, producers, family, and fans. Heavily illustrated with publicity shots and personal photographs taken by cast, crew, and others, Goodnight John-Boy will be a welcomed book by millions of loyal fans. When The Waltons first aired in 1972, it was at the bottom of the Nielson ratings-by December it led the list. That dramatic leap came about because fans told their friends about it and wrote the CBS network to praise the show and to plead that the show not be canceled. Thirty years later, Goodnight, John-Boy is sure to touch the hearts of the show's fans again.

During the search, the Apache Indians hold her captive. And finally a chiefs wife adopts her and makes her a warrior princess through training, becoming White Dove. A friend travels with her, only to become ill after they are both raped by men who find them in a cabin they used as a shelter. Finally, after a few months, her friend dies and leaves her baby with the people who have taken care of them all this time. A fur trader tells her of hearing of a renegade tribe to the north that has white men who are slaves for them in their mines. One is a soldier who may be her husband. During their travels, she proves that she is not only unafraid to go but is also a good shooter. Finding her husband alive but very ill and tortured, she wins his freedom in a contest. His freedom was won. A family is started, twin boys, one bearing the mark of a hawk. Annas daughter, Little Dove, whom she now calls Sarah, sits beside her mothers bedside as she becomes ill and dies.
