Book Three of The Kirk Rogers Series. After they make the long journey home from the Melkotian galaxy, Kirk and his friends find themselves trying to prevent a secret society from kicking them out of Atlantis. Thousands of years ago, militants who were against integrating with human society stole a spaceship called The Illuminati in the hopes that they could overthrow the Newtonian government. When things didn't go as planned, they landed the ship on Earth and put themselves in stasis until technology could catch up.Fast forward to present day and the Illuminati is a super-secret society with two primary goals: Take over the world and take back Atlantis. And Kirk would rather die than let that happen. If you like Star Trek and Star Wars, The Kirk Rogers Series celebrates all things scifi with some familiar themes while having a unique story of its own. Don't worry, even if you don't catch all the subtle hints or Easter Eggs, it doesn't take anything away from the story. I hope you enjoy the series as much as I do, and thanks for reading!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Adventures of Kirk Rogers follows our hero and his friends after they are sucked through a wormhole and transported to another galaxy. Several thousand years ago, the Newtonian people had to leave their dying planet in search of a suitable home. Most of the Newtonian people departed in a huge spaceship with wide open terrarium on the inside. They called this ship The Atlantis. Earthlings, however, called it The Moon. Another race of the Newtonians left in a different ship. It was much smaller than the Atlantis but still large enough to carry half a million people. They left on this different ship, not because everyone couldn't fit in the same ship, but because they believed they were superior to the Newtonians and no longer wanted to associate with them. Those wonderfully misguided people were called Brenians. What do you suppose the chances are that Kirk and his friends would travel through a random wormhole and end up in the same galaxy as the Brenians? Four months into their journey home they crash land on a planet and soon find themselves caught up in a quest to wake a sleeping beauty from stasis in exchange for a replacement part for their ship. During their quest, Kirk is captured by the Brenian people only to escape with the prince's fianc. Somehow, someway, our heroes must stop a war before they all end up dead.

Book The Adventures of Kirk Rogers and The Queen of Hades

Download or read book The Adventures of Kirk Rogers and The Queen of Hades written by C. J. Boyle and published by . This book was released on 2020-10-24 with total page 339 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Kirk risks life and limb in order to rescue his sister from Hades. This is the fourth installment of The Kirk Rogers Series. Books one through three followed Kirk and his unlikely band of heroes on their adventures... and along the way, it helped some of them figure out who they are and where they belong in the universe. Kirk never dreamed that defeating the Illuminati would cause such calamity. The plan seemed simple enough. Shoot all of the members with a specially designed gun that not only subdued them but also tagged them with a locator chip. Once they were tagged, the bad guys were automatically teleported away and delivered to the interior of Mars. Unfortunately, some of his friends got caught in the crosshairs. Including his sister, Laura. Hades isn't the mythical place that everyone believed it to be. No, it was a mining colony that the Newtonians established long ago. The main export? Tetronium. The Newtonians used it in all their electronic components because it was lightweight and highly conductible. Unfortunately, no one wanted the lowly job, nor did any of them want to spend most of their time in such an awful environment. Especially since things got weird when oxygen was introduced. The interior of the red planet began to grow some wild, wonderful, and dangerous things. But someone had to do it. It was therefore decided that people who broke the law would be sentenced to serve their time in Hades. It wasn't long before people were sent there for minor infractions and no one was ever released. After thousands of years, the mining colony should have been empty. It seemed to be the perfect place to send the Illuminati until they could figure out who was good and who... well, wasn't. But as misfortune would have it, when the Newtonians abandoned Atlantis in favor of the Earth below, they forgot about the prisoners and just left them to fend for themselves. There were cut off completely and would no longer received food or supplies in exchange for Tetronium. This caused the people to revolt. They destroyed the mining equipment and tried to overthrow the king and seize control of his supplies. But the King of the Underworld was by far the strongest telepath who ever lived. He had the ability to force a man to do his bidding.Seth Tartarus was the warden of Hades. That was such a small, unimpressive title. It didn't take him long to appoint himself king. He ruled over the people for thousands of years. No one knew exactly how the king managed to live so long, all they knew was he was an evil tyrant. Of course, as luck would have it, Laura ended up on his doorstep. Will her brother Kirk rescue her before she becomes the queen of Hades? Let's find out!All of the books in #TheKirkRogersSeries are pretty much stand-alone and can be read in any order but they are better if you do. Book Setting All the Captives Free

Download or read book Setting All the Captives Free written by Ian K. Steele and published by McGill-Queen's Press - MQUP. This book was released on 2013-11-01 with total page 552 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Among the many upheavals in North America caused by the French and Indian War was a commonplace practice that affected the lives of thousands of men, women, and children: being taken captive by rival forces. Most previous studies of captivity in early America are content to generalize from a small selection of sources, often centuries apart. In Setting All the Captives Free, Ian Steele presents, from a mountain of data, the differences rather than generalities as well as how these differences show the variety of circumstances that affected captives’ experiences. The product of a herculean effort to identify and analyze the captives taken on the Allegheny frontier during the era of the French and Indian War, Setting All the Captives Free is the most complete study of this topic. Steele explores genuine, doctored, and fictitious accounts in an innovative challenge to many prevailing assumptions and arguments, revealing that Indians demonstrated humanity and compassion by continuing to take numerous captives when their opponents took none, by adopting and converting captives into kin during the war, and by returning captives even though doing so was a humiliating act that betrayed their societies' values. A fascinating and comprehensive work by an acclaimed scholar, Setting All the Captives Free takes the study of the French and Indian War in America to an exciting new level.
