Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Prophet Joseph Smith was warned early in his life that Satan would seek to destroy him with false witnesses and perjured testimonies. As a teenager he was taught by an angel that his name should be had for good and evil among all nations, kindreds, and tongues, or that it should be both good and evil spoken of among all people. That prophesy has been fulfilled in part by the plethora of fake histories and bigoted assessments of his life and character, that fill the internet and libraries. Sadly some of those false histories and claims come from those within the Church that God used him to restore. This book is written to defend Joseph Smith Jr. against what the Lord referred to as the "testimony of traitors." It is an expose of the dishonest and unscholarly claims made by flesh reliant, cultural members of Christ's restored Church, who have sought to, and who continue to seek to, slander and impugn the character of the man God chose to begin the restoration of all things as spoken of by Peter.

Dividing the work in thesis he firstly proves that the world was in necessity of a New Witness; then moves on to the state of the Christian church and how it was destroyed and there was an apostasy from the Christian religion; third thesis deals with the Scriptures declaring that the Gospel will be restored to the Earth; final thesis suggest that Joseph Smith is the New Witness for God who re-established the Church of Jesus Christ on Earth. Book excerpt: In 1728 a stranger handed a letter to Governor Yue calling on him to lead a rebellion against the Manchu rulers of China. Feigning agreement, he learnt the details of the plot and immediately informed the Emperor, Yongzheng. The ringleaders were captured with ease, forced to recant and, to the confusion and outrage of the public, spared. Drawing on an enormous wealth of documentary evidence - over a hundred and fifty secret documents between the Emperor and his agents are stored in Chinese archives - Jonathan Spence has recreated this revolt of the scholars in fascinating and chilling detail. It is a story of unwordly dreams of a better world and the facts of bureaucratic power, of the mind of an Emperor and of the uses of his mercy.
