La investigación-acción se contempla como una forma de pedagogía crítica mediante la cual docentes y estudiantes pueden obtener sistemáticamente este control. Una de las preocupaciones fundamentales de la autora consiste en utilizar un lenguaje claro y accesible, que aporte propuestas para que puedan mejorarse las experiencias de enseñanza y aprendizaje.
