Book excerpt: Gaudapada was one of the world’s greatest philosophers in seventh-century India. He invokes the mystical symbol ‘AUM’ (pronounced as ‘ohm’) pointing to the three states of consciousness (waking, dreaming and deep sleep) and the nature of reality itself. In the text on which this book is based, he writes that the waker, dreamer and deep-sleeper are like the roles that an actor plays at various times. All three states are the result of ignorance and error. Who we really are is the fourth aspect – the actor himself. If you see or feel a ‘thing’, then that ‘thing’ is not ‘real.’ So the waking world is no more real than the dream. ‘You’ have never been born. Nothing has ever been created. Causality is a myth. Discover your true nature to be Existence-Consciousness, without limitations, undivided and infinite, prior to time and space. Incredible? Read...and be convinced by the irrefutable logic of Gaudapada.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The human psyche is so composed that most of us, including atheists, at some point of time ask fundamental questions of life. It may begin with 'Why did this happen to me?' Then it goes on to 'Is there God? Who am I? What is the goal of human life? What happens when one dies? Why was the world created? By whom? How?....' In Tattvabodha, Sri Adi Shankaracharya lovingly answers these and many more such questions and introduces the aspiring student to the basic principles of Vedanta - the science of Life. This preliminary text is presented in the form of a dialogue between the Guru and the disciple. The disciple asks with genuine eagerness and the Guru answers with patience, with depth and with precision. Swami Tejomayananda's commentary on this text is illuminating and answers even unasked doubts of the beginner. His exposition, from what it takes to be a seeker to what it takes to make a saint of oneself, is masterly.

Book The Incredible Reality of You

Download or read book The Incredible Reality of You written by Lucialorn and published by Awakeningworld Publishing. This book was released on 2019-06-11 with total page 280 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is about Reality as it really is, not the way it appears through the senses or is understood by the mind. It is about awakening to the true reality of who and what you are beyond your mind and senses, beyond all labels and conditioning, beyond all concepts and beliefs, and beyond your wildest imaginations. This Awakening does not happen through your mind, intellect or emotions. It happens within the innermost core of your being: to the sense of "I am, I exist". It is the same sense of Being and existing you are experiencing now, only not entangled with your thoughts, sensations, emotions or perceptions. On its own level, beyond the mind, your real inner Self is unlocalized, unbounded and universal. This book is written to that innermost universal sense of pure Being, not to your mind. It provides the knowledge of the states of Consciousness on the path to total Awakening. Awakening to the true, boundless reality of your inner self is called Self-Realization, and awakening to the true reality of the world and universe is called Enlightenment. This book is about Self-Realization and Enlightenment.
