The skull of a Tyrannosaurus Rex alone measured up to 1.5m (5ft) long. They weighed 8 tons (more than a garbage truck). Tyrannosaurus was cannibalistic. The calculations suggested that adult T. The average Tyrannosaurus Rex lived about 30 years. The first, fragmentary fossils of Tyrannosaurus Rex were discovered by the famous paleontologist Edward Drinker Cope in South Dakota in 1892.
