The effect of message complexity and ncoding organisation oon fidelityof message deecoding has cross cultural validity. If proper controls are imposed successful xperimentation can be undertaken on non captive audiences under realistic life situations. Fidelity of message decoding by farm decision makes is dependent not only on the encoding complexity and encoding organisation of a message but also on their adoption status, ag, ducation and attitudes towards improved agricultural practices. 83 per cent of change in the fidelity of message decoding is produced by the variables of encloding complexity encoding organisation, adopton, status, age, education, attitudes and aspirations. Fidelity of message decoding of farm decision makers is increased by lowering the level of message complexity and explicitely organising a message. Timeliness of message transmission to othe farm decision makers will increase the fidelity of mesage decoding. From the fidelity of mesage decoding point of view message complexity more important than mesage organisation. High message complexity and implicit encoding organisation result in loss and distinction of information among all types of farm decision makers. Though it is more so far farm decisiokn makers withlow adopton status and who elder and illiterate. Low message complexity and explicity encoding organisation increase the fidelity of message decoding by low adoption status, older and less educated farm decisiokn makerrs, more than it does for high adoption status, younger kand educated farm decision makers.
