Book excerpt: This is a true story about the abuse, neglect, and the survival of five small children, what they had to endure and cope with throughout the years when they should have been loved, but were not. I am taking the time to write this book, for all the children that weren't and may not be as fortunate as we were. Therefore, I dedicate this book to them and to my brothers and sister who have since passed away.I hope this book will help others understand what happens to the less fortunate children in our society, even though as you read my book, you may find yourself sad and in awe.All too often children are not as fortunate as we are and will not live through the horrors and the trails life will set before them, leaving their stories never to be heard. Therefore, I write my story in their honor. Many times in our young lives, the hard times seemed to be insurmountable. Nevertheless, with the help of good friends and family, along with good old-fashion hard work and a little imagination, along with ingenuity, often things that may have been impossible, are now possible. This is why I tell people "never say never," because the impossible is only an idea that has yet to be done.I have always felt that to try and fail is not the mark of a failure, but to see something as being impossible before you have ever tried, is truly marking yourself to be a failure. Courage is not the absence of fear; it is having the strength to do what is necessary for spite of fear.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is about two little girls who were taken in the night. Susie was taken while waiting for her mom to come home from work. It was late. Her babysitter dropped her off at her home. Her mom had something to do. She was running late. A couple of people heard Susies cries but did not go to see what was making so much noise. They were sorry the next day when they heard the sad news. The little girl they had seen playing in her yard so many times was gone. The time was passing by so fast. Where was that little girl? It was so sad. It seemed as though the world stopped turning for everyone. They missed her. Their mind was on little Susie when another child went missing. Jeanies brother found her missing, but her mom told her to pray if anything happened to her. She did, and the cops found little Jeanie, alive and well, with a story no one could believe. Many people were brought to jail, but there was still no answer to the case. Who did it?

First, I must thank God for his plan of redemption and for being a God that will personally come and see about his believers because he definitely did that in my life. He knows that the things he allows in your life, good or bad, serve a purpose; and my pain served a purpose because I now care for another youth because of what I have been through! I thank Jehovah God for his ways, for his ways are not our way and his thoughts are not our thoughts! I thank God for the Holy Spirit, the teacher of all truth! Thank you to my wonderful children who are grown now: La Teisha Collette Turner and Du Shaine Amel Turner. When God blessed me with these two, I knew I had to make a tremendous amount of change in my life. They motivated me to change, and I wanted them to have the best of me, not an angry me. I could have never done it. But God knew how I loved children, so he blessed me with the two of them, and they have always been supportive of me. I thank the both of them for my eight wonderful grandchildren: Montrell, Shamar, De Jean, Monterio, Quiese, Trenaty, Destyne, and Zavarion. Book excerpt: In the sequel to Beneath the Bruises, this searing novel explores the effects of secondhand domestic violence on children. Silent Cry is the story of K’wan Taylor, the now fourteen-year-old son of Syreeta and Randall Taylor from Beneath the Bruises, who withstood his father’s sporadic outbursts and berating tirades by wishing, praying, and hoping his father would disappear. He and his brother spent years watching their father abuse their mother and navigating a home that felt more like a prison. Though never subjected to the abuse firsthand, the secondhand abuse—the yelling, the silent treatments, the muffled cries, the walking on eggshells, took a toll on their psyches. Feeling helpless and hopeless, K’wan spent most of his young life burdened with the pressure of believing he had to protect his mother from his father’s abuse, but not knowing how. K’wan makes his way to a residential treatment facility for adolescent males, where he begins, slowly, to heal his wounds. It is in his silence that he shares insights and relives painful memories of growing up in a home of violence, revealing his anger toward his father that spiraled into a deep hatred and consumed most of his thoughts. Silent Cry is a compelling, thoughtful look at how children, particularly boys, are shaped by domestic violence.

Book excerpt: When Edith was stillborn without warning, Jonny and Joanna were stunned and confused. Why wasn't anyone talking about baby loss? Where could they turn for help? Who would answer their burning questions? One in in four pregnancies ends in miscarriage; one in 200 in stillbirth. And yet, while the church offers resources to cope with suffering generally, there is often an echoing silence when it comes to the trauma of baby loss. 'When we lost our daughter Edith,' say Jonny and Joanna, 'it was painful indeed to find the lack of biblically rooted and pastorally sensitive resources.' Nothing really hit the mark, so, through tears, they wrote this book. It comes to you, or someone close to you, with a massive hug. It is the authors' prayer and passion that you will be amazed by our great God as you connect with deep truths from the Bible, bringing healing to your heart, mind and soul.

Book Silent Cries Never Heard

Download or read book Silent Cries Never Heard written by Masquerader and published by Publishamerica Incorporated. This book was released on 2004-04 with total page 49 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Everyone has a deep dark secret and mine is revealed in this book. Child abuse of any kind is not acceptable in any society and needs to be brought out into the open to prosecute these evildoers so severely that maybe one day this will end. Children need to be taught by parents, as well as teachers, not to be afraid to come forward and tell. We reach the age of reason at seven years old, so we know right from wrong. The problem is intimidation by the adult causing fear in the child so the child will not tell anyone their special secret. It is harder than you think to tell anyone for fear of them not believing you, for fear of them calling you a little troublemaker, for fear of being rejected by family members if you open your mouth. Back in the 1950s and a60s people didnat speak of such things happening. You cannot talk about it but it stays with you, it haunts you until you cannot take it any longer so you must tell someone or do something before you burst. In my case, it is over and done with, as the person who did this horrible thing to me is now dead and gone. I am not sorry that he is dead, because I know he can no longer hurt any more children and the world is a much better place without him. If he did have the opportunity to abuse other children, I am not aware of it. I figured I was his prime target and I served his purpose and I kept my mouth shut. Maybe that is why God chose me to protect other children from being abused by him. Whatever the reason, the secret is out now, so let the truth finally be told in this book. If my book helps just one child/adult come forth and prosecute the one who inflicted the wound, it is worth my time of putting this in writing.
