Book Achieving Airport compatible Land Uses and Minimizing Hazardous Obstructions in Navigable Airspace

Download or read book Achieving Airport compatible Land Uses and Minimizing Hazardous Obstructions in Navigable Airspace written by Jocelyn Waite and published by Transportation Research Board. This book was released on 2012 with total page 74 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This report discusses airport compatible land use requirements, the legal issues related to achieving airport compatible land use, and legal issues particular to eliminating hazardous obstructions to airspace. The report concludes by reviewing the major legal issues of concern in achieving airport-compatible land use. While general legal principles relevant to airport land use are well established, they are often applied on a case by case basis, particularly in the context of regulatory takings and inverse condemnation. This ad hoc analysis introduces, if not an element of unpredictability, at least some variation in the law by jurisdiction. The need for greater predictability highlights the significance of including airport zoning as part of comprehensive land use planning. This report should be helpful to airport administrators, attorneys, board members, financial officers, community members in the vicinity of airports, realtors, and city and county zoning officials.

This book was released on 2018-09-11 with total page 66 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Aviation Safety Organization Changes (US Federal Aviation Administration Regulation) (FAA) (2018 Edition) The Law Library presents the complete text of the Aviation Safety Organization Changes (US Federal Aviation Administration Regulation) (FAA) (2018 Edition). Updated as of May 29, 2018 The FAA Aircraft Certification Service (AIR) and Flight Standards Service (AFS) have reorganized to align with functional organization design concepts. The AIR reorganization included eliminating product directorates and restructuring and re-designating field offices. The AFS reorganization included eliminating geographic regions, realigning headquarters organizations, and restructuring field offices. Currently, various rules in the Code of Federal Regulations refer to specific AIR and AFS offices that are obsolete after the reorganizations. This rule replaces specific references with generic references not dependent on any particular office structure. This rule does not impose any new obligations and is only intended to eliminate any confusion about with whom regulated entities and other persons should interact when complying with these various rules in the future. This book contains: - The complete text of the Aviation Safety Organization Changes (US Federal Aviation Administration Regulation) (FAA) (2018 Edition) - A table of contents with the page number of each section
