He married Catharine Ann Davidson (1834-1906), daughter of Samuel I. and Catharine Bolich Davidson, in 1855 at Freeport, Illinois. They had twelve children 1856-1877. He died at Bushnell, Illinois. Descendants listed lived in Illinois and elsewhere.
