Book i am not tall all

Download or read book i am not tall all written by Narges and published by Dorrance Publishing. This book was released on 2017-02-10 with total page 229 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: i am not tall @ all by Narges Narges is not in love with writing @ all, nor does she love her fingers’ dedication to painting & creating art in all media & mediums. She has no choice – in both, movement of her hands occupying her fingers and her ways of thinking, moving, being, sinking. Seeing. Sinning. Singing. Signing. Nor does she deliberately move form & all its formats. Only, she knows that that she is missing home. When asleep, she leaps, diving into the deep space, as she let her “hers” go, ears go. Yet, she still sees how the eraser follows. Her Mom replied: “Oh no.” Narges was a little girl when her mother had to let her go. Her mother was 16 when she gave birth to her. Narges was ten years old when she first had to migrate from Tehran to Munich, Germany, where her father had migrated to years before. She is about to move back to the United States, so the question is then where is home? Narges still remembers the last words her mom told her, telling, saying; “Narges-am, Dokhtaram, Kochooloye man. Toye in rah, u need 2 alwayz remember this 1, first thing, Khoone-h Ye Khoda Bargh Nadare, Ke Nouresh Bere-h.” Meaning, “God’s house doesn’t run on electricity for its light, therefore there are no Blackouts in a human heart.” Fatemeh kisses her child at Tehran, Mehrabad’s airport, whispering this long whisper: “God is always in you, goodbye child.” Fatemeh is a believer. “God formed us. But not through a Big Bang, oh no…” She said. “But rather true a Bud.” Us, this is the shape of human matter, “iEye” over the human soul, “u,” the solo. Narges is not in love with writing, neither does Narges like to paint; she has no choice, except to accept to submit to the moves meant for her fingers in this life, minus time.

Book Thoughts Are Air

Download or read book Thoughts Are Air written by Michael Arndt and published by Penguin. This book was released on 2021-05-11 with total page 41 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A beautiful and timely book for anyone who needs a little inspiration to turn their dreams into reality. When a trio of friends happen upon a neighborhood tree falling into decay, an idea catches hold. But what makes a dream become a plan, and how does a plan lead to a brighter tomorrow? With deceptively simple verse, Thoughts Are Air brilliantly links thoughts, words, and actions to the water cycle. Just as air becomes water becomes solid matter, thoughts become words become actions. The comparison is subtle yet powerful--air condensing into matter; ideas condensing into doing something that matters. Completely unique and utterly accessible, this is a book to inspire curiosity and spark change-making ideas in readers young and old.

This book was released on 2011-02 with total page 322 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Widely praised in hardcover as a fascinating and important addition to religious and cultural studies, Sacred Matters reveals the remarkable ways that religious practices permeate American cultural life.In a country where references to God are as normal as proclaiming love of country, support for the military, or security for the nation's children, religion scholar Gary Laderman casts his eye over our deeply hidden spiritual landscape, questioning whether our conventional views even begin to capture the rich and strange diversity of religious life in America. A compelling read, Sacred Matters shows that genuinely religious practices and experiences can be found in the unlikeliest of places-in science laboratories and movie theaters, at the Super Bowl and Star Trek conventions, and in Americans' obsession with prescription drugs and pornography. When devoted fans make a pilgrimage to Graceland because of their love for Elvis, Laderman argues, their behavior doesn't just seem religious, it is religious-enacting a well-known ritual pattern toward saints in the history of Christianity. In a dramatic reframing of what is holy and secular, Sacred Matters makes a powerful and illuminating case that religion is everywhere-and that we have barely begun to reckon with its hold on our cultural life.
