Book Praise Honor

Download or read book Praise Honor written by Timothy Shoup and published by . This book was released on 2019 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: That is what hymns are: sermons full of Christ. Stanza by stanza, hymns bring Christ to you. They supplement Scripture readings, support the sermon, comfort you, and join you with fellow worshipers. The purpose of hymns is to praise God by proclaiming the saving work of His Son. The fourteen hymns in this volume mark milestones in the life of every Christian-Baptism and the Lord's Supper, Christmas and Easter, for instance. Some will be familiar to every reader while others will be new, but all are packed with meaning. Each hymn is introduced with a short reading that will deepen your understanding of the hymn and its purpose. Then, each following devotion focuses on one stanza of the hymn, connects to Scripture, and points to life application. May these devotions further your appreciation for the rich hymnody of the Church and point you to the Lord of Life. "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God" (Colossians 3:16). Book jacket.

Book Thanks Praise Honor and Glory to the Triune God for Leading and Guidance in Documenting Lead Poisoning in the Public Schools and the Obstructions of Justice in Order to Conceal the Indisputable Truths

Download or read book Thanks Praise Honor and Glory to the Triune God for Leading and Guidance in Documenting Lead Poisoning in the Public Schools and the Obstructions of Justice in Order to Conceal the Indisputable Truths written by Diana R. Williams and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2011-08-19 with total page 353 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: School buildings in Maryland, Washington, D.C., New York, Boston, Chicago, South Carolina, and throughout America that have chipping, peeling, and flaking lead-based paint on the interior and exterior are exposing our children and others to lead poisoning. Having renovations performed on these already lead hazardous schools without implementing the proper protective protocols to prevent millions of more microscopic lead dust particles from spreading only compounds the exposure to lead poisoning. Moreover, if these same lead hazardous school buildings, also, have their water supply flowing through leaded pipes, pipes that are connected with lead solder, or have leaded fixtures attached to the fountains, then, our leaders of tomorrow and others are ingesting even more lead poisoning through drinking lead-tainted water. This non-fiction book documents the truth that a Mathematics teacher, who has maintained her certification and accreditation in lead hazard evaluation and control since 1997 as a Repainting and Maintenance Supervisor, an Inspector Technician, a Lead Abatement Service Contractor, and thus, a Recognized Lead Expert by the Maryland Department of the Environment, identified four schools in Baltimore City that had either deteriorating, chipping, and flaking lead-based paint, major renovations that disturbed lead hazardous components and didnt have the proper protective protocols in place, or drinking water that was lead-contaminated. She attempted on numerous occasions to have the health hazards addressed and resolved. However, the powers that be only wanted to silence her and continue concealing the truth that for over a decade the custodians of these public schools, the owners, and others knowingly, willingly, and negligently exposed lives to lead poisoning. Moreover, the detailed, documented true findings from five Finders of Fact that substantiate that the powers that be retaliated against the messenger because she blew the whistle regarding the lead hazardous in these Baltimore City schools.

Book Psalm 96 A Theology of Praise

Download or read book Psalm 96 A Theology of Praise written by C. Matthew McMahon and published by Puritan Publications. This book was released on 2014-02-04 with total page 292 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This work is a simple theological look at the praise the church offers to God. God requires that his people have a theology of praise. Psalm 96 delivers to them the directives they need in order to praise God rightly. It is, in and of itself, a condensed theology of praise for the Church of Jesus Christ. God has called his people to praise him. Psalm 96 shows the church what should fill their theology of praise so that they praise God in holiness and truth. This is only possible through Jesus Christ and his work on the cross for them, as the one and only Messiah; the Messiah David was looking forward to and the Messiah the church looks back to who has already come. This Psalm is a call to all people to praise God correctly, and then demonstrates God’s government and judgment over the whole earth in response to those who praise him rightly, and those who do not. God, as the glorious Savior of his covenant people, has redeemed a people of praise; those whose theology of praise extends from the word of God into their mind, then to their regenerated heart, to their mouth and finally seen in their actions. Such a people will be a community of those who offer testimony and witness to the great acts and wonders of God’s being and grace to a fallen world; from being a witness to their children, to their next door neighbor, their cities and country, to all those across the world. While such work is going on, this covenant community will also be watchful as a community of believers knowing that Christ may choose to return and judge the world in righteousness at any time, where Christ will finally usher them into an eternity of praise; a place where creation and the church will praise Christ forever, the Lamb who was slain before the foundation of the world.

Book The Psalms as Christian Praise

Download or read book The Psalms as Christian Praise written by Bruce K. Waltke and published by Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing. This book was released on 2019-11-19 with total page 361 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Two respected scholars explore the heart of the Psalms Following in the style of their companion volumes, The Psalms as Christian Worship and The Psalms as Christian Lament, Bruce Waltke and James Houston now explore the depths of Christian praise. Each volume uniquely blends verse-by-verse commentary with a history of Psalms interpretation in the church from the time of the apostles to the present. Since praise is the essence of the book of Psalms, Waltke and Houston have narrowed the focus to Book IV of the Psalter (Psalms 90-106), which magnify God and proclaim him king. To give voice to the psalmist, the authors (carefully) translate and explain each psalm and summarize its theological message. This is followed by listening to the voice of godly churchmen whose comments have stood the test of time. The Psalms as Christian Praise is ideal for anyone seeking to better understand the praise of Israel as found in the Psalms and how Christians also use these Psalms in worship.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “A beautiful and inspiring collection of prayers. A Book of Pagan Prayer is like a breath of fresh air, breathing life into the spiritual aspect of pagan practice.”—Mat Auryn, Patheos Steeped in tradition based on more than a quarter century of research and practice, A Book of Pagan Prayer teaches us to pray in the ways of our ancestors for very modern times and concerns. A unique collection of nearly 500 prayers written to fulfill the needs of contemporary pagans from a variety of traditions, A Book of Pagan Prayer is a book to turn to again and again. First published in 2002, the revisions to this new edition include rearranged chapters and prayers and the addition of two new chapters, all of which make the book easier to use. The chapters are now arranged in an order that follows a ritual, and all the litanies have been moved to their appropriate chapters. Two new chapters--"General Requests and Offerings" and "Travel, Protection, Imprecatory"--combine two types of prayers out of the general "Petitions" into one. Prayers have been labeled with the deities to which they are addressed and arranged in logical order within each chapter. Prayers to new deities have also been added. In addition, a major problem with the first edition has been corrected: prayers for Lughnasadh/Lammas and Midsummer, two of the eight great neopagan holidays, have been added.

Jordan is married to Maurice Jordan; mother to two sons, Courtney and Maurice Jr., grandmother to Hailey Grace, daughter to Mildred L. Johnson and sister to Pam, Kim, and David. Above all things, I am a child of the King and an ordained minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To God be the glory. I currently attend Calvary Broken Vessels Ministry in St. Louis, MO. My daily prayer and desire in found in Psalm 119:133 which says, "Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me." The LORD has ordered my steps to be of encouragement to those in need. It started with a devotional e-mail sent out on June 6, 2007. Something I thought was a one-time occurrence. Three years later the Praise The LORD Everybody! E-mail ministry is going strong and has now evolved into the "Praise The LORD Everybody! (366 Exhortations To Start Your Day In The Presence Of The LORD)" inspirational, devotional book. To God be the glory. I have worked in the St. Louis Public School District for 20 years mainly in the Preschool capacity. I work very diligently with a charity the LORD has placed in my husband, Maurice's, heart called the "Secret Santa Club," which grants up to 3 Christmas wishes to Pre-k -1st grade under privileged students in the SLPS school district. To date we have been a blessing to our families by granting over 1400 students their Christmas wishes. To God be the glory. One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple, Psalm 27:4. Amen!
