Social worker by day, sex siren by night Polly Fletcher has a clear set of principles that guide her life; her Tinder app, her Jimmy Choo shoes and a strict no-commitment rule. So when she meets a sexy, silver-eyed stranger at a friend’s wedding, all she’s after is a wild night between the sheets. Solo Jakoby has his Ducati motorbike, a backpack of his belongings, and a disaster he’s escaping in Sydney. And sure, he’s wildly attracted to the curvaceous beauty, but he has a job to do, and some unpleasant memories to forget. So what if their time together blew his mind? It was just one night, right? But when Solo and Polly are flung together in quite different circumstances, it seems the chemistry between them won’t let up. And as they start to uncover each other’s secrets, maybe this crazy attraction is set to turn into something deeper? Something that might just challenge Polly’s firmly upheld principle—to never, ever give away her heart? Find out in this steamy, heartwarming second novel in the Laws of Love series.

Book Principles of Macroeconomics Asia Pacific Edition with Online Study Tool S 12 Months

Download or read book Principles of Macroeconomics Asia Pacific Edition with Online Study Tool S 12 Months written by Robin Ellen Stonecash and published by Cengage AU. This book was released on 2017-09-15 with total page 548 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The brief and student-friendly approach of this book boils economics down to its essentials, by considering what is truly important for students to learn in their first course in economics. In keeping with the authors' philosophy of showing students the power of economic tools and the importance of economic ideas, this edition pays careful attention to regional and global policies and economic issues ' including the impacts of the ongoing global financial crisis, inflation, unemployment, interest rates, and monetary and fiscal policy. Continuing global financial uncertainty and the current state of the Australian economy provide a constant supply of new material, re-evaluated models, and policy changes and updates for the Principles of Macroeconomics text. The book emphasises the material that students should and do find interesting about the study of the economy, resulting in a focus on applications and policy, and less on formal economic theory. Principles of Macroeconomics, 7e encourages students to make their own judgements by presenting both sides of the debate on five controversial issues facing policymakers: the proper degree of policy activism in response to the business cycle, the choice between rules and discretion in the conduct of monetary policy, the desirability of reaching zero inflation, the importance of balancing the government's budget, and the need for tax reform to encourage saving.

  • Author : Holly M. Smith
  • Publisher : Oxford University Press
  • Release : 2018-04-13
  • ISBN : 0192547631
  • Pages : 425 pages

Download or read book Making Morality Work written by Holly M. Smith and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2018-04-13 with total page 425 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Most of us hope to do what morality requires of us. But what if we can't figure out what it does require? A soldier may know that morality requires him not to kill an innocent civilian but he can't tell whether the driver of a suspicious car is an innocent civilian or a terrorist about to detonate a bomb. Holly M. Smith addresses this problem in Making Morality Work by asking whether we should reject moral codes that can't be used by anyone hampered by inadequate information. When considering questions of morality, we call on moral theories to play both a theoretical and a practical role. These theories provide accounts of what makes actions right or wrong, and also provide a standard by which agents can guide their own conduct. It is usually assumed that a single theory can serve both roles, but limited knowledge often prevents people from using traditional normative theories to make decisions. Smith examines three major strategies for addressing this 'epistemic problem' in morality before developing an innovative solution that overcomes the weaknesses of prior approaches. Making Morality Work opens a path towards resolving a deep problem in moral life.
