The writer maintains that union with Christ is so fundamental that it transcends time and space, and the doctrine includes within itself all the blessings of redemption. As he seeks to deal with his subject he confesses that he feels like a child paddling on the shore of an unfathomable ocean, but states that he has found the ground beneath his feet to be reassuringly solid He declares that meditation on this truth has changed him for the better, and prays that those who read will know with increasing certainty that they are in the Lord Jesus Christ.
