Book excerpt: Project Report from the year 2015 in the subject Business economics - Offline Marketing and Online Marketing, grade: B, University of Bedfordshire, language: English, abstract: This theory into practice report is written on the topic of ‘Identifying certain characteristics of marketing strategy for Indian software development companies in entering Western European market’. Main aim of this report is to identify certain characteristics that would permit Indian software companies to develop successful marketing strategies. It has been analysed that India has managed to hold India dominant position around the world in the software development field. It has been observed that the growth intensity of Indian software development industry is much higher than countries. It seemed to be difficult task for the companies to formulate strategies for entering foreign market for the very first time. And for this purpose these companies would have make several decision during this process. Usually, the process of foreign market entry follows different phases. When a company decides to make entry into foreign market, at a first stage if would have to decide which market shout it have to enter. When the particular market is selected then the company would to analyse that what sort of entry mode will be pursued. And at the last stage, the company would have to follow the operationalising of the market process. It has been learned that currently most of Indian software companies have been focused on providing general software development services rather than products. It has also been ascertained that when Western European companies would decide to outsource their projects/services to Indian software companies then they would intend on the utilisation of an offshore development center. it has been examined that certain problems (like differences in efficiency, meeting quality standards and deadlines) could be faced by the Indian software development companies while entering Western European market. It has been intended that there are six characteristics (lower psychical distance, developing relationships, acquiring knowledge about the target market, maintaining relationships with partners, reducing the price of its marketing offerings and determining its asset investment & risks) of marketing strategy that should be followed by Indian software development companies for making successful entry into the Western European market.

The book brings together eminent authors from a wide range of countries around the world, drawing on their diverse academic and policymaking backgrounds, and specific national or regional settings to assess how global economic changes have affected employment opportunities. The book is unique in a number of ways - It has a global reach, presenting analyses and viewpoints from both developed and developing countries, from all continents; its timing and context is particularly instructive, since most papers are located in the aftermath of the global financial crisis; and it addresses a wide range of questions-How do different types of offshoring and global linkages impact employment? How is the skill mix of the labor force impacted by globalization? How do institutional structures and regulations influence the outcome of globalization in developed and developing countries? Individual chapters analyze how the impact of global linkages on national economies is mediated through a number of structural aspects of the economy - its institutional and industrial structure, its resource base, its predominant firm type, its comparative advantage, and its regulatory practices. The chapters in the book cover both manufacturing and services sectors, and many chapters also address policy issues regarding innovation and job creation.

Book Innovative ICT Industrial Architecture in East Asia

Download or read book Innovative ICT Industrial Architecture in East Asia written by Hitoshi Hirakawa and published by Springer. This book was released on 2016-11-21 with total page 233 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book aims to shed light on the potentially innovative ICT (information and communication technology) architectures from an East Asian regional perspective. The business environment brought about by the development of ICT intensified global competition and caused dramatic changes in the industrial architecture. Firms that are involved in manufacturing and maintenance of ICT hardware and that offer services for software development are continuously being created, giving rise to the provision of new and diverse services to an increasingly growing East Asian regional market. Such industrial activities are advancing the shift from an old to a new industrial architecture. Some parts of emerging economies have grasped this edge on economic globalization and informatization and have adopted business models that enable them to enter the world economy. Entering this century, China, the Philippines, and Vietnam in East Asia have been rapidly expanding their ICT-BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) businesses as destinations of offshoring of service activities by firms in the advanced economies, following India’s example. Policy makers and firms in those countries are also meeting the challenge of catching up with advanced economies through the development of such industries. It has enabled those economies to exploit new possibilities of further development, which may mean a new stage of manufacturing cum services in an ICT- and knowledge-based economy.
