C'est le cas du Jourdain, du Tigre, de l'Euphrate, du Nil, du Djouba, et du Chebeli. Les études juridiques apparaissent au premier plan de ce travail, elles visent à évaluer les régimes juridiques des cours d'eau internationaux dans le Monde arabe en les comparant avec les régimes juridiques internationaux et leur évolution dans ce domaine, dont résulte essentiellement la Convention de 1997 sur le droit relatif aux utilisations des cours d'eau internationaux à des fins autres que la navigation. Ainsi, cette étude se divise en deux parties : la première traite du régime juridique des utilisations des cours d'eau internationaux à des fins autres que la navigation à la lumière de la Convention de 1997. La deuxième traite des spécificités des cours d'eau internationaux dans le monde arabe à la lumière des dispositions de la Convention de 1997.
