Il volume è quindi diretto ad esaminare la complessa connessione tra la normativa ambientale, che è tuttora in rapida evoluzione, e quella che disciplina la pianificazione urbanistica e l’edilizia e come quest’ultima possa - ed in quale misura - essere condizionata dalla prima. He focuses on three twentieth-century architects who exhibited the qualities of lateness in their designs: Adolf Loos, Aldo Rossi, and John Hejduk.
