Built upon a foundation of counterpublics, critical race counterstory, counternarratives, the Black public sphere, rhetorical-cultural narrative, rhetorical-cultural memory, visual social semiotics, hashtag activism, and media framing and schemas, I engage in a rhetorical-semiotic-technocultural analysis of the justice for George Floyd protests, as a social movement. I position myself as a visual specialist artist, activist, academic, and advisor for social movements engaged in social justice and social change. I argue that culture, as moderator, traversed the rhetorical-semiotic-technocultural messaging of the visual imagery emerging from the digital imagery of the justice for George Floyd social movement which motivated global citizens to take to the streets to demand social justice and social change. Drawing upon the justice for George Floyd movement, I offer artists, activists, and academics ten activist strategic propositions for the preservation of the cultural narrative, memory, and history of social movements which may utilize visuality to withstand social movement backlash.

We seek the kingdom of God, before everything else. We connect that kingdom agenda to the culture around us, both by speaking it to the world and by showing it in our churches. As we do so, we remember our mission to oppose demons, not to demonize opponents. As we advocate for human dignity, for religious liberty, for family stability, let's do so as those with a prophetic word that turns everything upside down. The signs of the times tell us we are in for days our parents and grandparents never knew. But that's no call for panic or surrender or outrage. Jesus is alive. Let's act like it. Let's follow him, onward to the future.

But it is also our own failing, specially people on social media, people who have access to an endless stream of data, people who could actually be making a difference, your outrage is not ENOUGH! it is a start, but it is not ENOUGH! It means nothing if you are going to forget the endless lives of men, women, and children, taken in Lybia, Iraq, Afghanistan, South America, Palestine, Somalia, Nigeria, Yemen, The U.S by this worldwide system, and George is just another name on there. It means nothing if you can't see that what's being done to black men and women in the US is the same thing that's being done to people all over the middle east and africa, that has been done to men, women and children all over the world for centuries, why countries in Africa in the middle east, in south america are all divided along ethnic lines, countries like my own country! That all of that is by design! That all of that is done to subjugate, instill fear, hatred amongst poor people, that all of that can't change until your anger and outrage stop being temporary and reactionary! That if you can't acknowledge those dots, if you can't bring yourself to educate yourself on the matter then your outrage will be used to perpetuate said system's life thus making you complacent and an accomplice in those deaths! Wake up and take control of the narrative! Do not let yourself be desensitized! Change, revolution, starts in your own mind! Educate yourself first and foremost, challenge your own bias, try to see things in someone else perspective, try to see things in the shoes of your fellow Somalian, Palestinian,Wolayta, Haitian, Gurage, African American, Oromo, Venezuelan, Amhara, Chilean, Eritrean, Tunisian, Gambela, Brazilian, Tigrean brothers and sisters! Then Organize! Social media is great and all but take this to your workplace, the streets, strike, unite, discuss, run for office! whatever you need to do, take back your power!
