Download or read book China en Am rica Latina written by Rebecca Ray and published by Universidad del Pacífico. This book was released on 2017-04-21 with total page 294 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. This book was released on 2018 with total page 9 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Evoluci n reciente de la IDE china especial atenci n a su papel como emisor written by Alberto Fernández García and published by . This book was released on 2016 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Foreign Direct Investment in China

Download or read book Foreign Direct Investment in China written by Ms.Wanda Tseng and published by International Monetary Fund. This book was released on 2002-02-01 with total page 26 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: China's increasing openness to foreign direct investment (FDI) has contributed importantly to its exceptional growth performance. This paper examines China's experience with FDI and identifies some lessons for other countries. Most of the factors explaining China's success have also been important in attracting FDI to other countries: market size, labor costs, quality of infrastructure, and government policies. FDI has contributed to higher investment and productivity growth, and has created jobs and a dynamic export sector. China's success, however, did not come without some pitfalls: an increasingly complex tax incentive system and growing regional income disparities. Accession to the WTO should broaden China's "opening up" policies and continue FDI's contributions to China's economy in the future.

What are the underlying factors behind China's competitive edge? What are the strategic implications of China's rise for growth and development in Latin America? These questions open new avenues for thinking about revitalizing development strategies in Latin America in the face of China's successful development and reduction of poverty. This insightful report is a must-read for analysts, policymakers, and development practitioners, not only in Latin America and the Caribbean, but wherever China's presence is being felt."--Jacket.

Book China Business

Download or read book China Business written by Henry C. Steele and published by Chinese University Press. This book was released on 2000 with total page 520 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For foreign business to succeed in China, it needs to be better informed of the challenges that China is faced with today. China was a centrally planned economy with very little international ties only three decades ago. Thus, it has to catch up for the lost years when there was neither opportunity to gain management experience nor any meaningful legal and regulatory framework to speak of. China is making up for lost time with unequalled energy and determination. Contributors in this book address a wide range of business issues through their research and present a glimpse on the complexity of doing business in China today. The book consists of four sections: the business environment; management issues; sales and marketing; international business. Contributors are from both business circles and the academia, who have witnessed not only progress but also the pain that has accompanied the path to a market economy.

Book Trade and Investment in China

Download or read book Trade and Investment in China written by Jim Slater and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2002-02-07 with total page 334 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: China is under close scrutiny both as a market that could provide massive returns to investors and because of its potential to become the most powerful economy in Asia. This new study examines the economic relationship between China and Europe, its importance and how it is likely to evolve. The book considers the flow of trade, direct investment and technology transfer and contains case studies of manufacturing industries (automobiles, toys, watches, telecommunications) banking and insurance. The trade relationship between Europe and China is being re-evaluated by both sides and this is a valuable contribution to that process.

Book Foreign Direct Investment in China

Download or read book Foreign Direct Investment in China written by Philip D. Grub and published by Praeger. This book was released on 1991-08-30 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Written for international business managers and executives, this book offers a comprehensive and authoritative discussion of foreign direct investment in the People's Republic of China. The authors note at the outset that although the events of Tiananmen Square brought both trade and investment to a virtual standstill, new investment is now again flowing into China (but at a guarded pace). For those wishing to pursue the numerous opportunities that still exist, this volume offers a full analysis of the risks involved, a thorough treatment of the different forms of investment activities in China, complete coverage of China's investment policies and incentives, and specific case studies of foreign direct investment in China. The authors begin by providing an overview of the Open Door Policy and China's economic and managerial systems. Next, they discuss special economic zones and open cities; investment policies, such as flexible foreign ownership and choice of investment location; new incentives after 1986; and investment motivations. The modes of foreign investment covered include equity joint ventures, contractual joint ventures, wholly foreign-owned enterprises, joint oil exploration, compensation, and trade. Separate chapters analyze foreign investment inflows, identify the organizations involved in foreign investment, describe investment negotiation and approval procedures, and provide a detailed example of a joint venture feasibility study. Three case studies and an evaluation of the outlook for future foreign investment in China complete the volume. Numerous explanatory tables and figures amplify points made in the text. Two appendixes provide a sample contract and articles of association for joint ventures in China and the regulations for development and opening of the Shanghai Pudong New Area. A third appendix lists the rules for the implementation of Chinese law on wholly foreign-owned enterprises in China.
