Book Martinezism Willermozism Martinism and Freemasonry

Download or read book Martinezism Willermozism Martinism and Freemasonry written by Gérard Encausse and published by . This book was released on 2020-03-25 with total page 102 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This seminal book on Martinism was written by Papus (Dr. Gérard Encausse) some twelve years after he founded the Ordre Martiniste in France. By then the Order had taken root and spread across Europe and the world. He gives an introduction to the three branches on Martinism's origins: the Elus Cohen of Martines de Pasqually, the Rectified Rite of Jean-Baptiste Willermoz, and the mystical Christian writings of Louis-Claude de Saint-Martin. He continues with a scathing analysis of the state of Freemasonry in France at the turn of the twentieth Century, and ends with the comment that Martinism would be an ideal organization to unite the esoteric societies of the world for three reasons: They have an existing global structure in place, there is no money - and therefore corruption - involved, and they have no interest in politics (a claim which could not be said of French Freemasonry). This is an important book in the history of Martinism. While some of Papus' comments are either incorrect in light of history, or blatantly propagandist, English-speaking Martinists will find this a valuable addition to their source documents.

Book Voudon Gnosticism

Download or read book Voudon Gnosticism written by Frater Vameri and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2024-07-09 with total page 191 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: • Analyzes the syncretic magical system of Voudon Gnosticism and the traditions from which it is sourced • Explains the practices of Voudon Gnosticism in detail, including how to speak with the Lwas (spirits) and establish relationships with them • Explores the history of Voudon Gnosticism and significant teachers like Martinez de Pasqually, Lucien François Jean-Maine, and Michael Bertiaux The Voudon Gnostic system—a unique melding of Haitian Vodou with Gnosticism, Martinism, and other traditions—is one of the most creative and rich ways to explore magic. Providing a comprehensive introduction to this complex magical tradition, Frater Vameri explores its history and practices, initiating novices and more advanced readers into his own Voudonist world and the tradition’s conceptions of life and death. Vameri begins by exploring the founding and evolution of the system from its origins in Haiti to its séances in Chicago, including significant teachers such as Martinez de Pasqually, Lucien François Jean-Maine, Papus, and Michael Bertiaux. He looks at Voudon Gnosticism’s early connections with Caribbean Martinist colonies, the Black Templars, Paschal Beverly Randolph, the Ordo Templi Orientis Antiqua, and the Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor. The author explains how the lwas of Voudon Gnosticism are the same spirits found in traditional Haitian Vodou, yet approached differently. He explores how to learn to speak with the lwas, establish relationships with them, and profit from their revelations. He examines the Hoodoo system of the Voudon Gnosticism tradition and details how to build a Hoodoo altar as well as an atua, or spirit house, for adepts who have decided to establish enduring relationships with the spirits. Presenting a practical guide to this unique system, Vameri not only enables you to understand the history and intricate mechanisms of Voudon Gnosticism, but also reveals how to build your own magical universe with the help of Les Vudu.

Book The SCHOOL of MARTINISM Annotated

Download or read book The SCHOOL of MARTINISM Annotated written by Arthur Edward Waite and published by . This book was released on 2017-11-05 with total page 40 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Martinists study the natural relationships that exist between the Divine, the Universe, and Humanity. The universe and humanity form a whole, two progressions linked one to the other and evolving together. If we wish to understand our true nature we must look toward the Divine, says Saint-Martin, for "we can only read ourselves in the Divine, only understand ourselves in the Divine splendor." If we are no longer in a position today to reach this understanding it is because we have made the error of separating ourselves from the Divine and losing ourselves in the world of appearances, the temporal world. We have, to some degree, fallen asleep to the spiritual world. Our inner Temple is in ruins. To become a Martinist is to undertake the reconstruction of the Inner Temple. The Martinist relies on two pillars to build this everlasting Temple--that of initiation and that of the Martinist teachings. Initiation denotes the beginning of this great work, for it is at this moment that we receive the seed of light that constitutes the foundation of our work. It is then up to us to work to bring into being this light and make it shine.Worldly initiations are a necessary preliminary to Martinists, though we see them as earthly representations of a greater transformation. They only become meaningful when we receive the "central initiation." Saint-Martin tells us that this initiation is that by which "we can enter into the heart of the Divine, and make the Divine's heart enter into us, there to form an indissoluble marriage which will make us the spouse of our Divine Redeemer. There is no other mystery in arriving at this holy initiation than to delve further and further into the depths of our being, and not let go until we can bring forth the living, vivifying root, because then, all the fruit which we ought to bear, according to our kind, will be produced within and without ourselves naturally."The Martinist TeachingsThe teachings represent to a Martinist the nourishment necessary for the growth of the seed received during initiation. The foundations of the teachings are the writings of Louis Claude de Saint-Martin and his teacher, Martins de Pasqually.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the Treatise on the Reintegration of Beings, Martinez de Pasqually, the author, reveals the knowledge hidden in the OLD TESTAMENT for the initiate "Elus Coëns" of his time and those of the Traditional Martinist Orders of today. He focuses on what happened to the angels and Adam when they fell. Then he tells human beings what they need to do to regain their original status as Men-God, to become Adam again. As never before, he presents to the readers the different visible and invisible universe regions. They are the divine Immensity, the super celestial Immensity, the celestial Immensity, and the earth. Martinez exposes the interactions between the spirits residing in the different universe regions, including hell and its inhabitants. The content of the Treaty on the Reintegration of Beings stops just before the event of Christ." What should the human being do to regain his original status as Adam, the Man-God? So that he can sit again on the throne, God entitled him. Martinez de Pasqually answers this question in the "Treatise on the Reintegration of Being ".

Book Of Memphis and of Misraim the Oriental Silence of the Winged Sun

Download or read book Of Memphis and of Misraim the Oriental Silence of the Winged Sun written by Milko Bogard and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2018-10-04 with total page 422 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book offers a historical study of the Masonic "Rite of Memphis-Misraim", allegedly established in 1881. The "Rite of Memphis" and the "Rite of Misraim" were originally separate bodies that originated in the first half of 19th century France. The Rite often refers to Cagliostro (1743-1795), an Italian alchemist, Freemason, healer, and "a key figure of his time", who allegedly gave the organization the impulse necessary for its development. This Masonic system of "High Degrees" is sometimes known as "Egyptian Freemasonry" due to the invocation of Hermetic derived esoteric symbolism that is filled with alchemical, occult and Egyptian references. These degrees blend Christian, Kabbalistic, Neo-Platonic, Pythagorean mysteries, and beyond, within a single Rite of 90 degrees. "Of Memphis and of Misraim, the Oriental Silence of the Winged Sun" is one of the most comprehensive books of its type ever published in the English language. That's why this book is so engaging, with some 400 pages, unveiling the stream of Hermes that passes through Masonry, from the soul of Cagliostro onto the various Egyptian Rites today...
