This book was released on 2024-01-04 with total page 564 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents an extension of fuzzy set theory allowing for multi-polar information, discussing its impact on the theoretical and practical development of multi-criteria decision making. It reports on set of hybrid models developed by the authors, and show how they can be adapted, case by case, to the lack of certainty under a variety of criteria. Among them, hybrid models combining m-polar fuzzy sets with rough, soft and 2-tuple linguistic sets, and m-polar hesitant fuzzy sets and hesitant m-polar fuzzy are presented, together with some significant applications. In turn, outranking decision-making techniques such as m-polar fuzzy ELECTRE I, II, III and IV methods, as well as m-polar fuzzy PROMETHEE I and II methods, are developed. The efficiency of these decision-making procedures, as well as other possible extensions studied by the authors, is shown in some real-world applications. Overall, this book offers a guide on methodologies to deal with the multi-polarity and fuzziness of the real-world problems, simultaneously. By including algorithms and computer programming codes, it provides a practice-oriented reference guide to both researchers and professionals working at the interface between computational intelligence and decision making.

Book Multiple Criteria Decision Making MCDM Techniques for Business Processes Information Management

Download or read book Multiple Criteria Decision Making MCDM Techniques for Business Processes Information Management written by Edmundas Kazimieras Zavadskas and published by MDPI. This book was released on 2019-03-08 with total page 320 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Information management is a common paradigm in modern decision-making. A wide range of decision-making techniques have been proposed in the literature to model complex business and engineering processes. In this Special Issue, 16 selected and peer-reviewed original research articles contribute to business information management in various current real-world problems by proposing crisp or uncertain multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) models and techniques, mostly including multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) approaches, in addition to a single paper proposing an interactive multi-objective decision-making (MODM) approach. Particular attention is devoted to information aggregation operators—65% of papers dealt with this item. The topics of this Special Issue gained attention in Europe and Asia. A total of 48 authors from seven countries contributed to this Issue. The papers are mainly concentrated in three application areas: supplier selection and rational order allocation, the evaluation and selection of goods or facilities, and personnel selection/partner selection. A number of new approaches are proposed that are expected to attract great interest from the research community.

Book Cosine Distance Measure between Neutrosophic Hesitant Fuzzy Linguistic Sets and Its Application in Multiple Criteria Decision Making

Download or read book Cosine Distance Measure between Neutrosophic Hesitant Fuzzy Linguistic Sets and Its Application in Multiple Criteria Decision Making written by Donghai Liu and published by Infinite Study. This book was released on with total page 18 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This paper proposes a neutrosophic hesitant fuzzy linguistic term set (NHFLTS) based on hesitant fuzzy linguistic term set (HFLTS) and neutrosophic set (NS), which can express the inconsistent and uncertainty information flexibly in multiple criteria decision making problems. The basic operational laws of NHFLTS based on linguistic scale function are also discussed. Then we propose the generalized neutrosophic hesitant fuzzy linguistic distance measure and discuss its properties. Furthermore, a new similarity measure of NHFLTS combines the generalized neutrosophic hesitant fuzzy linguistic distance measure and the cosine function is given. A corresponding cosine distance measure between NHFLTSs is proposed according to the relationship between the similarity measure and the distance measure, and we develop the technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution (TOPSIS) method to the obtained cosine distance measure.
