Book Le pr parateur en pharmacie Guide th orique et pratique 2e ed

Download or read book Le pr parateur en pharmacie Guide th orique et pratique 2e ed written by GAZENGEL Jean-Marie and published by Lavoisier. This book was released on 2013-04-15 with total page 1858 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book The HR Guide to European Mergers and Acquisitions

Download or read book The HR Guide to European Mergers and Acquisitions written by James F. Klein and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2017-05-15 with total page 197 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: News of a merger or acquisition is a big event in the life of a company, which stirs uncertainty, anxiety and fear. The changes, redundancies and so on, that often follow this news, are a further source of turmoil for the employees of both companies involved. There is no magic formula to avoid these effects completely. However, good planning, communication and human resource practice can mitigate the worst of them; keep everyone that matters on board; and ensure that the new organization maintains your reputation for sensitive people management. Get it wrong, on the other hand, and you may lose the very people you were most anxious to keep; put the success of the process at risk and even face employment tribunals or other legal proceedings. In addition, imagine how these processes are complicated by any transnational elements. James F. Klein and Robert-Charles Kahn provide a practical, hands-on guide to successfully integrating HR functions following any merger or acquisition within Europe. The book guides you step by step, providing the methodology, tools, sequence of events and necessary material. It includes comparative tables, tips and stories illustrating the differences, specific issues and pitfalls that are particular to the different European countries. 20 years of human resources experience across companies in continental Europe has gone into creating this blueprint to successfully implementing the people side of successful mergers and acquisitions.

Book Discrimination at Work

Download or read book Discrimination at Work written by Marie Mercat-Bruns and published by Univ of California Press. This book was released on 2016-02-22 with total page 388 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A free ebook version of this title is available through Luminos, University of California Press’s new open access publishing program for monographs. Visit www.luminosoa.org to learn more. Do the United States and France, both post-industrial democracies, differ in their views and laws concerning discrimination? Marie Mercat-Bruns, a Franco-American scholar, examines the differences in how the two countries approach discrimination. Bringing together prominent legal scholars—including Robert Post, Linda Krieger, Martha Minow, Reva Siegel, Susan Sturm, Richard Ford, and others—Mercat-Bruns demonstrates how the two nations have adopted divergent strategies. The United States continues, with mixed success at “colorblind” policies, to deal with issues of diversity in university enrollment, class action sex-discrimination lawsuits, and rampant police violence against African American men and women. In France, the country has banned the full-face veil while making efforts to present itself as a secular republic. Young men and women whose parents and grandparents came from sub-Sahara and North Africa are stuck coping with a society that fails to take into account the barriers to employment and education they face. Discrimination at Work provides an incisive comparative analysis of how the nature of discrimination in both countries has changed, now often hidden, or steeped in deep unconscious bias. While it is rare for employers in both countries to openly discriminate, deep systemic discrimination exists, rooted in structural and environmental causes and the ways each state has dealt with difference in general. Invigorating and incisive, the book examines hot-button issues such as sexual harassment; race, religious and gender discrimination; and equality for LGBT individuals, thereby delivering comparisons meant to further social equality and fundamental human rights across borders.

    Book Details:

  • Pages : 472 pages

Download or read book Diplomatic Law written by Eileen Denza and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2016 with total page 472 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations has for over 50 years been central to diplomacy and applied to all forms of relations among sovereign States. Participation is almost universal. The rules giving special protection to ambassadors are the oldest established in international law and the Convention is respected almost everywhere. But understanding it as a living instrument requires knowledge of its background in customary international law, of the negotiating history which clarifies many of its terms and the subsequent practice of states and decisions of national courts which have resolved other ambiguities. Diplomatic Law provides this in-depth Commentary. The book is an essential guide to changing methods of modern diplomacy and shows how challenges to its regime of special protection for embassies and diplomats have been met and resolved. It is used by ministries of foreign affairs and cited by domestic courts world-wide. The book analyzes the reasons for the widespread observance of the Convention rules and why in the special case of communications - where there is flagrant violation of their special status - these reasons do not apply. It describes how abuse has been controlled and how the immunities in the Convention have survived onslaught by those claiming that they should give way to conflicting entitlements to access to justice and the desire to punish violators of human rights. It describes how the duty of diplomats not to interfere in the internal affairs of the host State is being narrowed in the face of the communal international responsibility to monitor and uphold human rights.
