Las personas discapacitadas y sus familiares son los que mejor conocen su realidad, quienes deben ser escuchados en sus inquietudes, temores, dudas y propuestas. Es por eso que tienen la palabra en gran parte de las páginas de este libro. Pero la voz de estos protagonistas no es suficiente si no se complementa con la de profesionales comprometidos con la problemática, quienes también expresan sus conocimientos en algunos capítulos y proponen los apoyos necesarios para propiciar la mejor calidad de vida de cada familia.
