Each room should be at least four by six feet, with a wood floor, covered with linoleum or any covering that can be scrubbed. Rough wood floors not properly covered spoil the cats coat and make a good hatching place for flea eggs. Attach to each room by a hole cut in the wall an outside run, as large as space will permit. I would suggest that this run be roofed as the hot sun plays havoc with the color of most of the long-haired cats.
