Rocha, masterfully blends words and sentences to represent the natural equalities and human perceptions we all share. It is a diverse celebration of dancing together to the beats of our individual DNA, sharing, rejoicing, drumming together our uniqueness, all together as one, all together blessed.

Book Redundant God Christian Faith in the Light of Evolution

Download or read book Redundant God Christian Faith in the Light of Evolution written by David de Pomerai and published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. This book was released on 2020-11-24 with total page 476 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Does evolution make faith superfluous? Part One of this book looks across the whole spectrum of biology—from molecules to ecosystems to human societies—and at the fossil history of life on earth, concluding that evolution is the only explanatory concept that makes sense of it all. Doesn’t this demolish the core Christian claim that God created the entire universe? Part Two explores whether God might instead embrace that universe with love and compassion, without micromanaging or interfering. Jesus bears witness to such a God in his kingdom teaching, calling Christians to follow his example of humility, serving others, and valuing what the world considers unimportant. This suggests paths of repentance and restraint that are urgently needed in a world facing rapid climate change and likely mass extinction.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: At the beginning was Light. Light - pure, distilled, triumphant and overwhelming in its unity and possibilities. Out of this Light came everything that we call Cosmos, Universe and Life. The story of the Universe is the story of the evolving Light, which is intertwined with Love. Love is not accidental but essential to the story of the Universe. Equally essential are sacred symbols, thinking and art. The story of the Universe is enthralling, fascinating, mysterious and yet simple. We need to have the eyes to see the beauty and the genius of Life, as it incessantly re-creates and transforms itself. The meaning of Life is simple. This meaning is the loom around which everything that exists is woven. Light is the divine denominator, which unites us all. We are truly one because we are all made of Light. This unity is tremendously reassuring and is a source of hope and optimism. If we need one single and sure beacon of hope, it is Light. Let There Be Light is a superbly crafted book that touches our core with its philosophy of Cosmic Creativity. A must read for everyone interested in understanding Life and its mystery and various aspects of evolution, this book also provides a timely wake-up call for us to understand the strengths and weaknesses of science as well as all religions which the book proclaims act as nothing but filters of Light. It encourages us to transcend such barriers and embrace true Light to rediscover ourselves. Welcome to the Journey!

Book The Blind Watchmaker Why the Evidence of Evolution Reveals a Universe without Design

Download or read book The Blind Watchmaker Why the Evidence of Evolution Reveals a Universe without Design written by Richard Dawkins and published by W. W. Norton & Company. This book was released on 2015-09-28 with total page 496 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Richard Dawkins’s classic remains the definitive argument for our modern understanding of evolution. The Blind Watchmaker is the seminal text for understanding evolution today. In the eighteenth century, theologian William Paley developed a famous metaphor for creationism: that of the skilled watchmaker. In The Blind Watchmaker, Richard Dawkins crafts an elegant riposte to show that the complex process of Darwinian natural selection is unconscious and automatic. If natural selection can be said to play the role of a watchmaker in nature, it is a blind one—working without foresight or purpose. In an eloquent, uniquely persuasive account of the theory of natural selection, Dawkins illustrates how simple organisms slowly change over time to create a world of enormous complexity, diversity, and beauty.

Book Accelerating Human Evolution by Theosophical Initiation

Download or read book Accelerating Human Evolution by Theosophical Initiation written by Yves Mühlematter and published by Walter de Gruyter GmbH & Co KG. This book was released on 2022-12-19 with total page 447 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The main subjects of analysis in the present book are the stages of initiation in the grand scheme of Theosophical evolution. These initiatory steps are connected to an idea of evolutionary self-development by means of a set of virtues that are relative to the individual’s position on the path of evolution. The central thesis is that these stages were translated from the “Hindu” tradition to the “Theosophical” tradition through multifaceted “hybridization processes” in which several Indian members of the Theosophical Society partook. Starting with Annie Besant’s early Theosophy, the stages of initiation are traced through Blavatsky’s work to Manilal Dvivedi and T. Subba Row, both Indian members of the Theosophical Society, and then on to the Sanâtana Dharma Text Books. In 1898, the English Theosophist Annie Besant and the Indian Theosophist Bhagavan Das together founded the Central Hindu College, Benares, which became the nucleus around which the Benares Hindu University was instituted in 1915. In this context the Sanâtana Dharma Text Books were published. Mühlematter shows that the stages of initiation were the blueprint for Annie Besant’s pedagogy, which she implemented in the Central Hindu College in Benares. In doing so, he succeeds in making intelligible how “esoteric” knowledge was transferred to public institutions and how a broader public could be reached as a result. The dissertation has been awarded the ESSWE PhD Thesis prize 2022 by the European Society for the Study of Western Esotericism.
