Book Etude de la modification d une couche limite turbulente par l insertion d un manipulateur type r ducteur de train e

Download or read book Etude de la modification d une couche limite turbulente par l insertion d un manipulateur type r ducteur de train e written by Eric Augier and published by . This book was released on 1992 with total page 139 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

This book was released on 1993 with total page 118 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: NOUS NOUS SOMMES INTERESSES A LA PREVISION NUMERIQUE DE L'INFLUENCE DE LA MANIPULATION EXTERNE DE TURBULENCE EN COUCHE LIMITE SUR LES TRANSFERTS DE SCALAIRE PASSIF. LES CHAMPS DYNAMIQUES SONT CALCULES PAR RESOLUTION DES EQUATIONS DE REYNOLDS ET DE TROIS EQUATIONS DE TRANSPORT POUR LES QUANTITES TURBULENTES FERMEES GRACE A UN MODELE DE TYPE LAUNDER-REECE-RODI. POUR LA PREVISION DES CHAMPS SCALAIRES NOUS UTILISONS DIVERS MODELES: MODELE DU PREMIER ORDRE ET MODELES AU SECOND ORDRE. CES DERNIERS FONT APPEL A DIFFERENTES MODELISATIONS DU TERME DE CORRELATION PRESSION-GRADIENT SCALAIRE. DEUX CONFIGURATIONS SONT ETUDIEES: MANIPULATION EN COUCHE LIMITE SUR PAROI ATHERMANE, PAR LAME MINCE CHAUFFEE ET MANIPULATION PAR LAME MINCE ATHERMANE DANS UNE COUCHE LIMITE DONT LA PAROI EST CHAUFFEE. NOUS COMPARONS LES RESULTATS DES CALCULS AVEC DIVERS RESULTATS EXPERIMENTAUX DISPONIBLES. NOUS PRESENTONS AUSSI DES COMPLEMENTS D'EXPERIENCES DESTINES A VALIDER LES CALCULS. LES COMPARAISONS PERMETTENT DE FAIRE UNE ANALYSE CRITIQUE DES DIFFERENTS MODELES. NOUS PROPOSONS ALORS DE RETENIR DEUX MODELES LES PLUS PERFORMANTS POUR EFFECTUER DES CALCULS D'OPTIMISATION. DES FORTES REDUCTIONS DU COEFFICIENT D'ECHANGE THERMIQUE SONT OBTENUES ET UNE POSITION OPTIMALE DU MANIPULATEUR DANS LA COUCHE LIMITE EST DETERMINEE. CETTE POSITION EST TRES COMPARABLE A CELLES OBTENUES PRECEDEMMENT POUR OPTIMISER LA REDUCTION DU COEFFICIENT DE FROTTEMENT

This book was released on 1990 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: L'ALTERATION D'UN ECOULEMENT DE COUCHE LIMITE PAR UN DISPOSITIF DE DEUX MANIPULATEURS EXTERNES DE TYPE PROFILS D'AILE, PLACES EN TANDEM, EST EVALUEE PAR LA MESURE DES CARACTERISTIQUES MOYENNES ET TURBULENTES. LES RESULTATS MONTRENT QUE LA STRUCTURE DE LA COUCHE LIMITE MANIPULEE RESTE EN MOYENNE SIMILAIRE A CELLE D'UNE COUCHE LIMITE NATURELLE. LA REDUCTION DU FROTTEMENT LOCAL MESURE, ATTEINT UN MAXIMUM DE 20% A 36 EPAISSEURS DE COUCHE LIMITE A L'AVAL DU DISPOSITIF ET PERSISTE JUSQU'A 100 EPAISSEURS DE COUCHE LIMITE, OU ELLE VAUT ENCORE 10%. L'UTILISATION DE TECHNIQUES DE DECONTAMINATION ACOUSTIQUE, A DEUX OU QUATRE CAPTEURS, AMELIORE LA DESCRIPTION DE LA PARTIE CONVECTIVE DU CHAMP DE PRESSION PARIETALE. LA MESURE DES DENSITES AUTO ET INTERSPECTRALES MONTRE QU'ELLES SONT REDUITES EN PROPORTION DU FROTTEMENT PARIETAL DANS LES HAUTES FREQUENCES ALORS QUE DANS LES BASSES FREQUENCES, LEUR COMPORTEMENT DEPEND DE LA POSITION DE MESURE: NIVEAU SPECTRAL PLUS REDUIT QUE LE FROTTEMENT AVANT LA ZONE DE REDUCTION MAXIMALE DU FROTTEMENT ET MOINS REDUIT QUE LE FROTTEMENT DANS LA ZONE DE RELAXATION. A L'ABSCISSE DE LA REDUCTION MAXIMALE DU FROTTEMENT, LE NIVEAU DES PETITS NOMBRES D'ONDE, MESURE PAR ALIGNEMENT MICROPHONIQUE, PRESENTE UNE REDUCTION SUPERIEURE A CE QUE PREVOIT UNE SIMILITUDE RELATIVE AU FROTTEMENT. DES TECHNIQUES D'ANALYSE PAR MOYENNES CONDITIONNELLES SONT DEVELOPPEES AFIN DE METTRE EN EVIDENCE LE LIEN EXISTANT ENTRE LE CHAMP DE FLUCTUATIONS DE PRESSION PARIETALE ET LES MECANISMES PRODUCTEURS DE TURBULENCE DANS LA COUCHE LIMITE, SUSCEPTIBLES D'ETRE PREFERENTIELLEMENT ALTERES PAR LA MANIPULATION

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Adventures of Roderick Random is a picaresque novel written by Tobias Smollett written before 1748. The book follows the misadventures of the eponymous main character, Roderick Random, as he navigates through life in 18th-century Britain. Roderick is a young man of humble origins who dreams of making his fortune and rising in society. However, he is constantly beset by misfortune and finds himself at the mercy of cruel fate and the nefarious actions of those around him. Throughout the novel, Roderick experiences a series of wild and often comical adventures, including being press-ganged into the Navy, working as a quack doctor, and falling in love with a woman who turns out to be a thief. The Adventures of Roderick Random is considered one of the earliest and most influential examples of the picaresque novel genre, which portrays the adventures of a rogue or antiheroic protagonist. It remains a beloved classic of English literature and a testament to Smollett's skill as a writer.

Book Contemporary Indonesian Fashion

Download or read book Contemporary Indonesian Fashion written by Alessandra Lopez y Royo and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2019-10-31 with total page 255 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Indonesian fashion has undergone a period of rapid growth over the last three decades. This book explores how through years of social, political, and cultural upheaval, the country's fashion has moved away from “colonial fashion” and “national dress” to claim its own distinct identity as contemporary fashion in a global world. With specific reference to women's wear, Contemporary Indonesian Fashion explores the diversity and complexity of the country's sartorial offerings, which weave together local textile traditions like batik and ikat-making with contemporary narratives. The book questions concepts of “tradition” and “modernity” in the developing world, taking stock of the elite consumption of luxury brands and the large-scale manufacturing of fast fashion, and introduces us to the rise of new trends such as busana muslim (or “modest wear”), creating a portrait of a vibrant and growing national and, increasingly, international, industry. Exploring clothing in shopping malls, on the catwalk, in magazines, and online, the book examines how Indonesian fashion is made, presented, and consumed, combining research in Indonesia with analysis and personal reflection. Contemporary Indonesian Fashion ultimately questions the deeply entrenched eurocentrism of "global fashion", simultaneously interrogating current homogenizing beauty and body image discourses posited as universal, by pointing to absences, silences, and erasures as reflected by contemporary Indonesian fashion- hence the "looking glass" of the title. Aptly illustrated, the book offers a new perspective on a rapidly developing new fashion capital, Jakarta.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Suppose that everything we think we know about the Victorians is wrong." So begins Inventing the Victorians by Matthew Sweet, a compact and mind-bending whirlwind tour through the soul of the nineteenth century, and a round debunking of our assumptions about it. The Victorians have been victims of the "the enormous condescension of posterity," in the historian E. P. Thompson's phrase. Locked in the drawing room, theirs was an age when, supposedly, existence was stultifying, dank, and over-furnished, and when behavior conformed so rigorously to proprieties that the repressed results put Freud into business. We think we have the Victorians pegged--as self-righteous, imperialist, racist, materialist, hypocritical and, worst of all, earnest. Oh how wrong we are, argues Matthew Sweet in this highly entertaining, provocative, and illuminating look at our great, and great-great, grandparents. One hundred years after Queen Victoria's death, Sweet forces us to think again about her century, entombed in our minds by Dickens, the Elephant Man, Sweeney Todd, and by images of unfettered capitalism and grinding poverty. Sweet believes not only that we're wrong about the Victorians but profoundly indebted to them. In ways we have been slow to acknowledge, their age and our own remain closely intertwined. The Victorians invented the theme park, the shopping mall, the movies, the penny arcade, the roller coaster, the crime novel, and the sensational newspaper story. Sweet also argues that our twenty-first century smugness about how far we have evolved is misplaced. The Victorians were less racist than we are, less religious, less violent, and less intolerant. Far from being an outcast, Oscar Wilde was a fairly typical Victorian man; the love that dared not speak its name was declared itself fairly openly. In 1868 the first international cricket match was played between an English team and an Australian team composed entirely of aborigines. The Victorians loved sensation, novelty, scandal, weekend getaways, and the latest conveniences (by 1869, there were image-capable telegraphs; in 1873 a store had a machine that dispensed milk to after-hours' shoppers). Does all this sound familiar? As Sweet proves in this fascinating, eye-opening book, the reflection we find in the mirror of the nineteenth century is our own. We inhabit buildings built by the Victorians; some of us use their sewer system and ride on the railways they built. We dismiss them because they are the age against whom we have defined our own. In brilliant style, Inventing the Victorians shows how much we have been missing.

Book A Midsummer s Nightmare

Download or read book A Midsummer s Nightmare written by Garry Kilworth and published by Gateway. This book was released on 2011-09-29 with total page 228 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sherwood Forest, home of Oberon, Titania, Puck, Cobweb, Peaseblossom and the rest of the mob, has been whittled away by urban development. It's time to move on, the fairies decide. Sid, their captive, a kindly if gruff young car mechanic, teaches Titania to drive, and on Midsummer's Eve the party sets off in a battered and smelly old bus. They're bound for the New Forest, where they hope to be able to regenerate their magic. The fairies' journey is full of excitement. At a village fair, they show the morris dancers how to cut previously undreamt-of capers. Titania falls in love with a human baby and steals her from her pram, starting a nationwide search for the missing infant. The fairies then link up with a group of New Age travellers on their way to Stonehenge, who befriend them almost without question. Finally, a fight to the death between Titania and the terrifying and sadistic Morgan-le-Fey must take place before everyone can settle down into some form of harmony and peace.
