Book excerpt: Truly you are a God who has been hiding himself, the God and Savior of Israel. —Isaiah 45:15 NIV In the book of Esther, there is no mention of God, the Holy Spirit, or prayer. On the surface, there is nothing spiritual about the book. It seems to be a short historical account of the persecution of the Jews and their subsequent victory over their enemies. Yet in reality, there is so much more. In The Gospel According to Esther, we will see the hidden story: the history of humanity. Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation tell this exciting story of a magnificent and loving God wanting to have a relationship with the people he created. The creation, the fall of humanity, the death and resurrection of Christ are just a few of the events covered. The overall theme of the book: God is preparing a bride for his Son. The main people in the Esther story are listed here, together with the person they represent in the hidden story: King Xerxes—God; Queen Vashti—Eve; Mordecai—Jesus; Haman—Satan; Hegai—Holy Spirit; and Esther—the bride of Christ. Open The Gospel According to Esther and see how these characters play out the story of humanity and the gospel as portrayed in the Bible.

  • Pages : 278 pages

Download or read book The Book of Esther written by Alexander Raleigh and published by . This book was released on 1880 with total page 278 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There has come about in recent years a lamentable tendency to treat certain portions of the Old Testament, like the Book of Esther, as allegories. This has been done with the best of motives, but the process of interpretation as well as the result to the reader, leaves much to be desired. It is refreshing, therefore, to turn to this exposition of The Book of Esther by Dr. Alexander Raleigh of Kensington, England, and find within its pages a careful explanation of the text which places the events squarely in their historic setting and then applies to the reader's life princples drawn from the passage under consideration. These principles are then embellished with information drawn from other portions of Scripture. The net result is the unfolding of the full-orbed teaching of God's Word on the subjects raised in the text. - Dr. Cyril J. Barber.

Book Esther s Story Journey From The Cross

Download or read book Esther s Story Journey From The Cross written by P. Thomas and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2017-08-10 with total page 258 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Finally, I could see ahead the habitation of cruelty; its steep walls of layered bricks seemed to be like a stone mountain that cast a dark shadow of death onto the street below." Esther was now at the place and time when she would ultimately understand what God had been preparing her for. Her journey begins when she is twelve and with her younger brother, Jacob, set out to find their missing father. When the desperate search leads the frightened children to the cross of Jesus, they are horrified to witness the death of their father, as the thief next to Him. Now homeless orphans, Mary Magdalene adopts them and becomes instrumental in Esther's developing faith during the dynamic events of the early Church, allowing us to witness the birth of Christianity through the eyes of this child. Even though she hears powerful lessons of God's truth taught by Andrew and other disciples, her faith struggles to grow hindered by adolescent rebellion that fantasizes about a life of luxury contrary to the one she imagines God has planned for her. Tempted by a gorgeous red silk fabric to follow her heart's desires, she is separated from Mary's protection and sin places her at the mercy of a dangerous ugly world. Her poor decisions cause her to make many mistakes, but as she overcomes each, she learns what God expects from her and finds His strength to prevail over any adversity even those inside her. Bending her will to His, she becomes fit for His service, giving her the spiritual fortitude to face persecutions, and the agonizing martyrdom of those close to her. The hand of God can be seen in each inspirational moment, as miraculous interventions unfold, eventually bringing her to a place and life she could never have imagined.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We are here for such a time as this. We are at war. Praise is our mighty weapon. These are three points highlighted in A Study of the Book of Esther: A Triumph over the Enemy. In her latest study, author Charlotte Travis takes readers verse-by-verse through the book of Esther with a focus on spiritual warfare. The Jewish people are led from destruction to victory by our God, while pride leads their enemy to a great fall. This eight-week journey provides daily praise verses, weekly memory verses, and spiritual ammunition from the truth of God's Word. The reader will have opportunity to pray and read the text with a daily journal before each lesson, as hearing from God is why we study. As believers, our lives are hidden in Christ, who is the author and finisher of our faith. It's by seeking Him first and loving Him most that we find our true purpose. God's Word builds our faith in the mighty victory Christ offers. As we study and soak up truth, Satan loses the hope of deceiving us and keeping us bound by lies. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The King James AV 1611 Holy Bible is God breathed, inerrant, supernatural, perfect, and superior to any other piece of literature ever written. There is not another book like it in the world! God has given us his word and words in the English which is the last universal world language just before the Second Coming of the great God and Savior Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit has reemphasized this truth in my heart and mind countless times since being born again in April 1972. It is "The Scripture" and all other "per-versions" are Satan's attempt to pull the wool over the eyes of lazy sheep who will not "Study to shew themselves approved unto God..." (2Tim 2:15) nor will they "Search the scripture..." (John 5:39) but they have willfully fallen victim to the little g "god" of this world, Satan, who blinds the eyes of anyone he can, always bringing doubt and questions in the mind of people concerning the truthfulness and integrity of the word and words of God. Gen. 3:1 "Yea, hath God said...?" #6 Esther, The Queen, a type of the preserved Jewish remnant (Rev.11:13, 12:17.) who escapes the Anti-Christ (Haman) and is instrumental in preserving the lives of the Jewish people during what the Bible calls the time of Jacob's trouble (13 letters) (Jer.30:7) the great tribulation period (Mat.24:21,29 Rev.7:14) after the tribulation she becomes the bride of Jehovah God in the Millennium (Hos:2:14-23) and gains head of the nations status. Esther was protected by the King (God) and delivered from the total annihilation (during the tribulation) along with all the Jews. Esther was crowned in the seventh year of the King giving her a reign during the last seven years of the time frame that the book covers which is identical to the seven-year tribulation that she depicts. If our calendar were right, we would have just entered into the 7,000th year (7th day) of human history where the Tribulation and Second Advent of the Lord Jesus is to take place, but our calendar has been messed with in history by the Vatican so we do not know the exact year in which we live. But notice that the crowning of Esther AND the appearance of Haman (3:1) a type of the Antichrist takes place AFTER Vashti the Queen (type of the Church) is removed, raptured, from the scene. Esther's name appears 56 times in the book. She is given seven maidens (Gentile friends during the tribulation period) to assist her in the purification process.KEVIN MANN A Saved King James Bible Believing Baptist.
