Book Yoga Lessons for Developing Spiritual Consciouness

Download or read book Yoga Lessons for Developing Spiritual Consciouness written by Swamie A. P. Mucherji and published by David De Angelis. This book was released on 2022-03-19 with total page 136 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Learn the secret techniques of the Yogis to conquer fear, de-hypnotize yourself, and build character... Yoga is a subject which has enthralled the attention of the world from time out of mind. No one has hitherto done justice to such a grand system though there have been, now and then, innumerable attempts., Swami Mukerji, a Yogi who comes out of a successive generation of Yogis, is a fit and proper instrument to handle this profound subject. In these lessons he prepares the layman for an understanding of the true principles of Yoga and, through a series of wise and masterful sayings, impresses on the mind of the reader the necessity for rising above materialism, nay, solves the very problem "What am I?" If we study the action of mind upon mind, of mind over matter, of mind over the human body, we may realize how “each man is a power in himself”. Life is a series of awakenings. Ideas dawn upon the mind from time to time, are caught up by brain and body and fins physical expression as acts. Our outward life with its environment is fitted to our inward development. Wealth, position, fame, power, —all these are the simple expressions of individual character. This treatise exposes the readers to the essential truths of the being and the ways and methods of developing the consciousness to the level of being able to migrate to a higher spiritual level. Chapter I. The Yogi Conception of Life Chapter II. The Ideal and the Practical Chapter III. Read and Reflect Chapter IV. Man: Animal and Divine Chapter V. Double Consciousness Chapter VI. Spiritual Unfoldment Chapter VII. Cause and Effect Chapter VIII. Man—the Master Chapter IX. Self-Development Chapter X. Developing the Spiritual Consciousness Chapter XI. Who Can Be a Yogi? Chapter XII. Constructive Idealism Chapter XIII. Higher Reason and Judgment Chapter XIV. Conquest of Fear Chapter XV. The Role of Prayer Chapter XVI. Thought: Creative and Exhaustive Chapter XVII. Meditation Exercise Chapter XVIII. Self-de-Hypnotisation Chapter XIX. Self-de-Hypnotisation—II Chapter XX. Character-Building

Book The Secret of Life Development of the Spiritual Consciousness

Download or read book The Secret of Life Development of the Spiritual Consciousness written by Sorocaima Salerno and published by Go to Publish. This book was released on 2021-07-23 with total page 168 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this work, the concept of the spiritual search as an internal and individual experience is excellently reflected, without impositions or fundamentalism, from the first page to the last. The author expresses himself with great clarity, demonstrates extensive knowledge of the spiritual principles that he exposes, and manages to develop each topic in an organized and comprehensible way. He seeks to precisely convey and transmit these principles, in a way that captivates the reader. Sorocaima Salerno has been a student of the world's Mystics for more than 50 years. The premature and tragic loss of loved ones deeply impacted his youth and launched him into a profound search for the meaning of the human experience that laid the foundation for this book. For thousands of years, religious teachings around the world have indoctrinated the belief in a God separate from us, watching and ruling from above, who does not exist. It is these misconceptions about God that are the cause of all the problems and misfortunes that human beings face every day. He challenges these notions using the core universal principles of the Mystics, from Jesus Christ to Gautama Buddha, emphasizing the common threads between their teachings and illustrating practical ways to apply them to develop our own spiritual awareness. The Secret of Life, as the title suggests, is showing us the door that must be opened to experience our eternity in harmony and Truth, and handing us the key to liberate ourselves. This book will give you not only an answer to the mysteries of human life but also the solution. "You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free" (John 8:32)

Book The Ever Present Origin

Download or read book The Ever Present Origin written by Jean Gebser and published by Ohio University Press. This book was released on 2020-08-25 with total page 771 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This English translation of Gebser’s major work, Ursprung und Gegenwart (Stuttgart, Deutsche Verlag, 1966), offers certain fundamental insights which should be beneficial to any sensitive scientist and makes it available to the English-speaking world for the recognition it deserves. “The path which led Gebser to his new and universal perception of the world is, briefly, as follows. In the wake of materialism and social change, man had been described in the early years of our century as the “dead end” of nature. Freud had redefined culture as illness—a result of drive sublimation; Klages had called the spirit (and he was surely speaking of the hypertrophied intellect) the “adversary of the soul,” propounding a return to a life like that of the Pelasgi, the aboriginal inhabitants of Greece; and Spengler had declared the “Demise of the West” during the years following World War I. The consequences of such pessimism continued to proliferate long after its foundations had been superseded. It was with these foundations—the natural sciences—that Gebser began. As early as Planck it was known that matter was not at all what materialists had believed it to be, and since 1943 Gebser has repeatedly emphasized that the so-called crisis of Western culture was in fact an essential restructuration.… Gebser has noted two results that are of particular significance: first, the abandonment of materialistic determinism, of a one-sided mechanistic-causal mode of thought; and second, a manifest “urgency of attempts to discover a universal way of observing things, and to overcome the inner division of contemporary man who, as a result of his one-sided rational orientation, thinks only in dualisms.” Against this background of recent discoveries and conclusions in the natural sciences Gebser discerned the outlines of a potential human universality. He also sensed the necessity to go beyond the confines of this first treatise so as to include the humanities (such as political economics and sociology) as well as the arts in a discussion along similar lines. This was the point of departure of The Ever-Present Origin. From In memoriam Jean Gebser by Jean Keckeis

Book Mysticism A Study in Nature and Development of Spiritual Consciousness

Download or read book Mysticism A Study in Nature and Development of Spiritual Consciousness written by Evelyn Underhill and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2017-02-15 with total page 250 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Remaining a classic in its field, this book explains first how mysticism relates to such things as vitalism, theology psychology, symbolism and magic. This treatment may seem unusual for Christian mysticism, but it relates widely to the world as we know it and the different practices therein. Part Two explores the awakening, purification and illumination of yourself and gives solid groundwork for such things as voices, visions dreams and other mystical experience.
