In coincidenza con questo percorso evolutivo, anche l'Osservatorio sui Sistemi Integrati di Gestione Ambientale dello IEFE dell'Universit Bocconi ha varcato la soglia del proprio decennale. Il volume intende celebrare questa ricorrenza proponendo una summa dei risultati dei progetti e delle sperimentazioni che sono state condotte dai ricercatori IEFE in questo arco temporale. I contenuti del volume rappresentano una sintesi ragionata dei diversi filoni di ricerca, organizzati secondo una scaletta di chiavi di lettura ritenute particolarmente interessanti per valutare e comprendere il passato e il futuro dei sistemi di gestione ambientale. La trattazione spazia pertanto dagli approcci pi metodologici (l'identificazione e valutazione degli aspetti indiretti, lo sviluppo di indicatori ambientali), alle analisi di impatto dei sistemi di gestione (sulla competitività, sulla normativa), fino all'approfondimento di specifici ambiti di applicazione dei sistemi, quali ad esempio la dimensione territoriale e distrettuale, che hanno riscontrato particolare successo in Italia.

He traces the development of the early business corporation and maps the rise of regulated industry from the first charterbased utilities to the railroads.
