Book CBD Oil for Alzheimer s and Dementia

Download or read book CBD Oil for Alzheimer s and Dementia written by Gregg Hansen and published by . This book was released on 2019-07-15 with total page 90 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Do you or someone you love struggling from Alzheimer's disease or dementia? Are you ready for an all-natural medical treatment that suppresses the symptoms of dementiaYou will learn what CBD Oil is, everything you need to understand about Alzheimer's and how to cure it using CBD OilAccording to the Alzheimer's Association, Alzheimer's disease accounts for 60 to 80 percent of dementia instances. Most people with the disease are diagnosed after age 65. If it's diagnosed before then, it's generally referred to as early onset Alzheimer's disease. With the legalization of marijuana expected to take effect this summer, many people are interested in learning more about whether or not cannabis-derived products could be beneficial for those with dementia. Alzheimer Society of Calgary's team has received an increasing number of questions on this topic. First, it's helpful to clarify some terms. Cannabis is the formal name of the plant often referred to as 'marijuana.' Many different types of products can be derived from parts of the cannabis plants, including hemp (sterilized cannabis seeds, fibre extracted from the stems). What is frequently referred to as 'marijuana' are the viable seeds, leaves and/or flowers of cannabis plant.Cannabis plants contain several active compounds, collectively referred to as cannabinols, in varying amounts. The best-known of these compounds are THC (tetrahydrocannbinol) and CBD (cannabidiol). THC is the compound responsible for many of the popularly associated effects of cannabis, including a sense of euphoria or "high." Strains of cannabis with large concentrations of THC are often prescribed to those suffering from severe nausea during chemotherapy treatment, along with those who have lack of appetite due to HIV/AIDS or other medical conditions. Alternatively, CBD does not appear to have the same intoxicating effects as THC, so it is often used in an oil-based form to treat chronic health conditions, especially childhood epilepsy unresponsive to medical treatment. There is some proof that CBD can be helpful for a multitude of other medical circumstances, including serious chronic pain, cancer-associated pain, anxiety, and depression. Several studies have examined both the impacts of THC and CBD on dementia, while others have looked at the impacts of cannabinoids in particular. The few clinical trials that have taken place on the effects of cannabis for people affected by dementia have looked at whether the drug can help manage some symptoms of the condition. Symptoms such as agitation and aggression could, in theory, be counteracted by the effects of cannabis or its components. Clinical trials have assessed the effects of cannabinoids, including THC and synthetic cannabinoids such as nabilone, on behavioural symptoms of dementia. You will get more information in this book. Book excerpt: Alzheimer's is the most common cause of dementia, a general term for memory loss and other cognitive abilities serious enough to interfere with daily life. Alzheimer's disease accounts for 60 percent to 80 percent of dementia cases.Alzheimer's is not a normal part of aging. The greatest known risk factor is increasing age, and the majority of people with Alzheimer's are 65 and older. But Alzheimer's is not just a disease of old age. Approximately 200,000 Americans under the age of 65 have younger-onset Alzheimer's disease (also known as early-onset Alzheimer's).Alzheimer's worsens over time. Alzheimer's is a progressive disease, where dementia symptoms gradually worsen over a number of years. In its early stages, memory loss is mild, but with late-stage Alzheimer's, individuals lose the ability to carry on a conversation and respond to their environment. Alzheimer's is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States. On average, a person with Alzheimer's lives four to eight years after diagnosis, but can live as long as 20 years, depending on other factors.

There are many things you don't want to forget in life, but forgetting about your family and loved ones is by far the very worst. Alzheimer's disease is a serious, chronic, neurodegenerative disease wherein sufferers experience degradation in their brain functions. The condition is responsible for 60-70% of all cases of dementia, and is a serious risk to all elderly people. Its causes are poorly understood, and it completely lacks any kind of known treatment or reversal. For these reasons, its appearance is almost completely random and incomprehensible. However, doctors do have ways to help mitigate the symptoms, as well as improve the quality of life among those who suffer from the condition. One of the methods that has been popping up increasingly in recent years is cannabidiol, or CBD oil. Book excerpt: Alzheimer's disease or the 'living death' was named after Dr Alois Alzheimer who discovered it in 1907, when he described the amazing effects the disease had on the brain of a 51 year old woman who had apparently died of dementia.Alzheimer's disease will have significant and life-changing effects on both the patient and the caregiver involved. Caring for an individual afflicted with Alzheimer's at home presents difficult challenges. The most basic daily activities, including eating, bathing and finding activities for the patient to perform can be laborious to manage on one's own. The Importance of Healthy Caregivers can not overuled, caregiver plays a significant role regarding the quality of life an Alzheimer's patient will lead. It is essential to research and understand what is necessary to provide effective Alzheimer's care at home. Family caregivers often are thrust into their role with little to no training and as such should work to educate themselves about the disease and practical ways to manage it and its corresponding behaviors. In addition, all caregivers, whether a family member or a hired homecare worker, should be regularly assessed to ensure that he or she remains healthy-both physically and emotionally. The individual providing care should be aware of personal limitations, seek support where additional help is needed and make every effort to maintain as normal a life as possible.

This book was released on 2018-10-11 with total page 40 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Almost every 66 seconds in the US someone develops the disease according to the Alzheimer's Association.Alzheimer's causes 60% to 70% of dementia cases and is an unpleasant disease for the patient but also for its loved ones and caregivers. The Alzheimer's Association states that as much as one in three seniors dies from Alzheimer's or other dementia.First of all preliminary research indicates that several of the effects cannabidiol (CBD) has on Alzheimer's could be therapeutically beneficial. Most of all the neurodegeneration in Alzheimer's, and its progression, are linked to the neuroinflammatory response and reactive gliosis. Cannabidiol has proven in studies to be able to reduce these two processes.Furthermore, other studies have shown that CBD stimulates neurogenesis, which is the development and growth of neurons. Hence this causes the deterioration process of the cognitive functions to slow down. Preclinical animal tests have even demonstrated that cannabidiol can also prevent or reverse the cognitive deficit development.Studies have shown that using cannabis oil and CBD oil together creates a synergistic effect. THC and hemp oil treatment for cancer is yet one example of this so-called 'entourage effect'. Used together, the effects on the hemp oil benefits chart are stronger.Best CBD for Alzheimer'sCannabis for preventing and reversing Alzheimer'sLaboratory studiesClinical studiesCBD Oil Dosage for Alzheimer'sStarting dosageSuccess Stories of Alzheimer's PatientsOverview of Scientific Studies and Reports and lots more....

Dementia is a loss of mental abilities so severe it interferes with a person's ability to function normally at work or in social settings. It is characterized by impairment of short- and long-term memory, and disintegration of personality due to impaired insight and judgment. Dementia is a major public health problem, with a severe impact on millions of affected people and their families. The symptoms of dementia are not the result of old age. Severe memory loss is never a normal part of growing older. Rather, the symptoms are due to brain diseases, which seem to be more common in older people. Dementia symptoms may be static or progressive depending on the underlying disease, and how it is treated. Static dementia usually follows a single major injury like a severe head trauma or heart attack. It does not progress in severity, but remains stable. Progressive dementia, however, does become worse over time. This type of dementia is found in several major brain disorders.Whether it occurs suddenly or gradually, dementia causes many disabling symptoms, including: -memory disturbance-personality change-impairment of judgment and control of impulses-confusion or disorientation-depression, paranoia or anxiety-diminishing initiative-deterioration of intellectual capacity-obsessive behavior or paranoia-delusions or psychotic episodes. The key feature is the decline in intellectual functioning, which significantly interferes with normal social relationships and daily activities. There are many conditions that may contribute to the development of memory problems and dementia, but Alzheimer's disease and vascular (multi-infarct) dementia cause the vast majority of dementias in the elderly. In vascular dementia, symptoms are caused by long-term reductions in the supply of blood to the brain. Alzheimer's disease and multi-infarct dementia sometimes occur together. Other possible causes of dementia-like symptoms include infections, drug interactions, metabolic or nutritional disorders, brain tumors, depression, or another progressive diseases like Huntington's disease and Parkinson's disease. Dementia is also a symptom seen in AIDS patients in the more advanced stages of illness. It is clear that the main risk factor for dementia is age. About 3% of men and women between the ages of 65 and 74 suffer from dementia, but after age 65, the percentage of people with dementia approximately doubles with every decade of life. The proportion of people aged 85 and older with dementia is between 25 and 35%. However, it is important to understand that dementia is a disease which is seen more in older people, and is not a normal part of ageing. It is also clear that, as the population of older people grows throughout the world, the number of people with dementia will rise. If current population trends continue, the number of people with dementia could double every 20 years. Currently the causes of dementia are not known for certain, and there is no known cure. Most often, spouses or other family members provide the day-to-day care for people with dementia. As the disease gets worse, people tend to need more and more care. This can be very demanding for caregivers, and can affect their physical and mental health, family life, jobs, and finances. Caring for a patient with dementia is also very expensive, whether the person lives at home or in a nursing home. The economic impact of dementia is large, and rapidly becoming larger. This is due to both the direct cost of nursing care, as well as indirect costs, such as lost income on the part of patients and their family caregivers. This book provides a great insight into therapeutic effects of CBD Oil in treating Dementia and other memory illness.

Аlzheimer's is а progressive diseаse, where dementiа symptoms grаduаlly worsen over а number of yeаrs. In its eаrly stаges, memory loss is mild, but with lаte-stаge Аlzheimer's, individuаls lose the аbility to cаrry on а conversаtion аnd respond to their environment.
