Named after King Charles II of England, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has a rich and lengthy history that dates back to the 17th century. Nobility and monarchy loved these dogs because of their endearing looks and gentle disposition. In contrast, the Poodle has a richer and more varied past. Poodles were originally developed as water retrievers in Germany, but they were also excellent hunters and game retrievers. They developed into the breed we know today as they gained popularity in France over time and were prized for their hypoallergenic traits and intelligence. The Cavapoo was created by combining these two breeds to create a companion dog that has the greatest qualities from both parents. For allergy sufferers in particular, their low-shedding coat is a draw, but frequent brushing is necessary to keep their hair healthy and avoid matting. The temperament of the Cavapoo is one of its most beloved characteristics. These canines are renowned for being lovable, gregarious, and friendly. They are known to build close relationships with their families and to thrive on social engagement. Cavapoos are wonderful family pets since they get along well with most kids.
