Book The Demon Queen

Download or read book The Demon Queen written by Jewel Killian and published by Jewel Killian. This book was released on 2020-07-17 with total page 478 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: They call me Uniter of Realms, Bringer of Peace, High Queen. But I don't know how to be any of that. Five realms hang in the balance, three races whose lives depend on magic, and one corrupt king hoarding it all for himself. My role? Oh, just fixing it. Easy, right? But a handful of sexy realm leaders insist I'm the human-born with demon blood—each vying for attention, each one's touch drawing something strange and blissful from me. Sweet, attentive Callum, pragmatic and commanding Sorin, dark and intuitive Verrill, and icy, collected Jadzeera. Each one has something to teach me—about magic and about myself. The longer I stay in these hell realms the closer I grow to each realm leader, the more my power grows and the more I realize I cannot simply have one realm leader. I need them all by my side—and in my bed—to bring the realms back together. The Demon Queen is a fast-burn FFMMM Reverse Harem. This fun, sexy ride is packed full of seductive demons, a smart heroine, a wisecracking best friend, and a teleporting cat. EDITORIAL REVIEWS It's EXTREMELY rare for me to give a book 5 stars. I reserve it only for books that move me and make me want to revisit their pages. This book is that and so much more. Being a pansexual/non-monogamous woman has been a journey. Accepting it and being proud to declare such titles has not been sinple, and escaping into the RH world has been a fun way to escape into a fantasized reality, but never have I read a story with characters that so deeply made me feel the vast range of emotions. (How dramatic for a fantasy book about sexy stuff, right? Lol) Beyond the personal rightness this book gave me, tingly belly feels and all, the world building is orgasmic in its own right. The storyline was engaging and magical with just a hint of realism and "it-could-happen" factor. I absolutely loved every moment of this story, and if you are looking for an awesome bisexual main character with a lady lover and four delicious dudes, then you'll absolutely love this book. I definitely did. -JSpringer Original. Groundbreaking! ...Reading RH can feel a bit wearisome at times.... When you read RH the way I do, it is really refreshing to finally find a horde with lady interest. This is the first in well over one hundred reads that went there, and balanced all the parts perfectly. Kudos to the author for breaking out of a mold and reshaping things. Also, I want to say that this author found a way to have the heroine actually figure things out without spending too much time on her baggage. It's there, but Zurie jumps beyond. Love it. -SJennings

Book excerpt: From storm drains, illegal dumps, and flooded landfills, all of North America's most advanced technology flows down the Mississippi River—microchips, nano-devices, pharmaceuticals, genetically modified seed—and lodges in the Louisiana delta. Out of this mire emerges a self-organized neural net, drifting in the water: the Watermind. It can freeze, boil, condense, and move—seemingly at will. Both infuriating and sympathetic, CJ Reilly is a brilliant, sexy, self-destructive MIT dropout running away from Cambridge and the suicide of her ironic, emotionally-distant father. She is working as a laborer in Devil's Swamp near Baton Rouge, cleaning up a small pollution spill, when she and her new lover, Max, discover the mysterious Watermind. Reilly's more interested in investigating it than containing it, but when it kills someone and escapes into the Mississippi, corporations, governments, protesters, the Coast Guard, and a really wacky underground journalist get involved. And there's no longer any question that it must be destroyed before it reaches the ocean. Watermind is Philip K. Dick meets The Blob, a postmodern combination of camp SF motifs and writerly ambition attacking serious subjects.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: If you could bring back just one animal from the past, what would you choose? It can be anyone or anything from history, from the King of the Dinosaurs, T. rex, to the King of Rock 'n' Roll, Elvis Presley, and beyond. De-extinction – the ability to bring extinct species back to life – is fast becoming reality. Around the globe, scientists are trying to de-extinct all manner of animals, including the woolly mammoth, the passenger pigeon and a bizarre species of flatulent frog. But de-extinction is more than just bringing back the dead. It's a science that can be used to save species, shape evolution and sculpt the future of life on our planet. In Bring Back the King, scientist and comedy writer Helen Pilcher goes on a quest to identify the perfect de-extinction candidate. Along the way, she asks if Elvis could be recreated from the DNA inside a pickled wart, investigates whether it's possible to raise a pet dodo, and considers the odds of a 21st century Neanderthal turning heads on public transport. Pondering the practicalities and the point of de-extinction, Bring Back the King is a witty and wry exploration of what is bound to become one of the hottest topics in conservation – if not in science as a whole – in the years to come. READ THIS BOOK – the King commands it.
