Book excerpt: Les Aphasies Primaires Progressives (APP) constituent une pathologie neurodégénérative définie par une atteinte langagière au premier plan. Cette pathologie est décrite depuis peu et les études prouvent que les orthophonistes occupent une place centrale dans le parcours de soin des patient·es atteint·es d'APP. Au vu de la récence de la littérature sur ce sujet, peu de moyens sont disponibles pour permettre aux orthophonistes de prendre en soin efficacement cette pathologie. Les rthophonistes pourraient alors avoir des besoins quant au savoir théorique, aux compétences à acquérir et aux supports existants concernant les APP. Pour répondre à cette problématique la Méthode Delphi a été utilisée. Un premier questionnaire a tout d'abord été diffusé aux orthophonistes. Il visait à analyser leurs besoins à propos de ce trouble en fonction de leurs profils. Les résultats ont montré que les jeunes novices orthophonistes ont davantage de besoins que les orthophonistes plus âgé·es et expérimenté·es. La faible confiance en soi en début de carrière peut, entre autres, l'expliquer. Par ailleurs, les orthophonistes ayant un lien avec un Centre Mémoire de Ressources et de Recherches (CMRR) présentaient moins de besoins au niveau théorique que les orthophonistes non lié·es à un CMRR. Ensuite, un second questionnaire a été élaboré dans le but de hiérarchiser les besoins importants sélectionnés par les orthophonistes dans le premier sondage. Dans le cadre de cette étude, un support d'information a été réalisé pour susciter l'intérêt des orthophonistes en général. Des formations continues à distance pourraient être proposées aux orthophonistes dans la perspective de parfaire leurs connaissances sur le sujet.
