The manner in which officers are quietly informed to fill their quota of traffic tickets is the modern equivalent of the Roman Empire's tax collectors. Therefore, if you have received a traffic ticket, particularly one that is considered a "moving violation," why wouldn't you fight it? Some states consider such "minor violations" criminal, so you must fight these allegations to preserve your record. Too much is at stake.
