It provides the reader with all the material needed when preparing for and during a trial, including both substantive law and the practice and procedure of the courts. The 2001 edition updates sentencing law as consolidated by the Powers of Criminal Courts (Sentencing) Act 2000, and Human Rights law in anticipation of the Act coming into force.
