Book Liquid Propellant Rocket Combustion Instability

Download or read book Liquid Propellant Rocket Combustion Instability written by David T. Harrje and published by . This book was released on 1972 with total page 678 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The solution of problems of combustion instability for more effective communication between the various workers in this field is considered. The extent of combustion instability problems in liquid propellant rocket engines and recommendations for their solution are discussed. The most significant developments, both theoretical and experimental, are presented, with emphasis on fundamental principles and relationships between alternative approaches.

Book Liquid Rocket Engine Combustion Instability

Download or read book Liquid Rocket Engine Combustion Instability written by Vigor Young and published by AIAA. This book was released on 1995 with total page 606 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Annotation Since the invention of the V-2 rocket during World War II, combustion instabilities have been recognized as one of the most difficult problems in the development of liquid propellant rocket engines. This book is the first published in the United States on the subject since NASA's Liquid Rocket Combustion Instability (NASA SP-194) in 1972. In this book, experts cover four major subject areas: engine phenomenology and case studies, fundamental mechanisms of combustion instability, combustion instability analysis, and engine and component testing. Especially noteworthy is the inclusion of technical information from Russia and China--a first.

Book Study of Turbojet Combustor Dynamics Using Sweep frequency Data

Download or read book Study of Turbojet Combustor Dynamics Using Sweep frequency Data written by John R. Szuch and published by . This book was released on 1970 with total page 52 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The analysis of data obtained from sweep-frequency testing of the 585 turbojet combustor is discussed.Bode plots of the response of combustor pressure to sinusoidal disturbances in fuelspray- nozzle pressure are presented for a range of fuel flows. An analog simulation was developed and used to match the experimental data and to identify the combustion dynamics. The effects of primary or burning-zone fuel-to-air ratio on the system response were also investigated. The experimental data were fit by linear transfer function forms to be used in overall system studies.

Book Internal Combustion Processes of Liquid Rocket Engines

Download or read book Internal Combustion Processes of Liquid Rocket Engines written by Zhen-Guo Wang and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2016-05-17 with total page 352 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book concentrates on modeling and numerical simulations of combustion in liquid rocket engines, covering liquid propellant atomization, evaporation of liquid droplets, turbulent flows, turbulent combustion, heat transfer, and combustion instability. It presents some state of the art models and numerical methodologies in this area. The book can be categorized into two parts. Part 1 describes the modeling for each subtopic of the combustion process in the liquid rocket engines. Part 2 presents detailed numerical methodology and several representative applications in simulations of rocket engine combustion.
